Best Unranked Team In Country

Exactly. Just cause you're saying we could beat one of those team one time doesn't mean you're saying we would beat every single team every time.

Thank goodness for Florida this year. How many power conferences only have 1 ranked team? Wow

I just think louisville has woken up and they just beat two top 25 teams by double figures. We seem to be their only weakness. They have a hard time matching up with Nichols.

I am so glad we got Austin too. That kid has played out his mind down the stretch of the season. He is so fundamental and an off season will give him a chance to add weight and develop a consistent jumper. Him and Shaq can be All American next year.

Not sure what that has to do with Tennessee's chances against Louisville. If you're suggesting that a good post player can beat them, I would really like our chances then, given we've got one of the best big in the country in Jarnell Stokes.

That is what I am getting at. It takes two good ones to beat them though because somebody has to guard Harrell for the game. That is what we do with Shaq. If stocks is quick enough you have a chance but if Russ goes off along with Jones it will be impossible. Their defense is still top 5 in Kenpom

Thankfully we've got the best lockdown defender in the SEC on our team.

Like I said, could we beat? Absolutely IMO.

Smith hard to check for anyone but if anything Pastner and Martin recruit big guards. We used Geron Johnson to lockdown Smith so I can see Richardson maybe making it tough on him.

With the Vols strength of schedule and their outstanding finish they are the best unranked team in the Country. The proof will obviously be in the continued performance, but they are being set up nicely to surprise some teams in the NCAA tournament.

While beating unranked and less than average teams is nice, Tennessee is not the best unranked team in the nation.

I put Travis Ford on the top of the list for the most underachieving coach in America...I put your coach (until lately but the Louisville win is VASTLY overrated because Louisville is VASTLY overrated) in the top ten on that list....this is quantified by the amount of talent those teams have....Memphis can recruit an all star team on the coaches lunch break...LITERALLY....walk down the street in the hood and have talent falling everywhere...Sorry...I'm just frustrated with the Tigers and the lack of consistency and big time wins...and terrible losses...Wish CJP could do more...as far as Oklahoma State being the best unranked team...WHERE IN THIS WORLD HAVE YOU BEEN THIS SEASON!!!!

what bad losses? Pastner has lost exactly 2 games in the last 3 years to a team with an RPI over 100 (UTEP 2 years ago and Houston this year). TN has 9 that same span (based on realtime rpi).

as for best unranked--- Kentucky isn't ranked. They are better than TN

I Can't Wait To See How Tennessee Performs On Friday...If They Come Out With A 12-15 Point Win, Which I Believe They Will, Then I Think They Could Play Themselves Into The Sec Championship Game

I hope that you are right, the key to winning for the Vols from here on out is the play of Barton on offense, and the excellent team defense the Vols have been playing. If both continue at the same level the Vols will be a hard team to beat.

Take comments like those with a grain of salt. We know what Pastner has done and he has laid a nice foundation to build on for years to come. 2016?should be a special year with the major impact players in the 2015 class that will sign with us

KY was better than TN, as far as the last couple of weeks, I don't know. TN is probably playing second best in the SEC heading into the conf tourney. KY has more raw talent and length, but not playing together well at all. They have no leadership and have gotten worse rather than better recently. Again, that's just today/last few weeks. I would have taken TN over UK at home or neutral court last couple of weeks.

Oregon is easily the best unranked team in the nation right now.

They've won 7 in a row and have beaten Arizona State, Arizona and UCLA in that stretch.

I take one game at a time. In the first 8 minutes, I am either shaking my head or pumping my fist. Just can't get too emotional with this team prior to the games.

I think Tennessee has had too much success this month... baseball, Lady Vols, Mens bball, and softball... Something HAS to go wrong, and it's pretty obvious what I'm alluding to...

According to Jay Bilas we are the best unranked team. He has us as the 26th best team in his rankings

26. Tennessee Volunteers (Previous ranking: 44)

Tennessee averages 33.7 paint points per game, second-most in the SEC behind Kentucky (36.1). Further, Tennessee rebounds 72 percent of opponents' missed shots, the best defensive-rebounding percentage in the conference. Jarnell Stokes has 17 double-doubles, tied for third-most in the nation. Tennessee is 1-4 against the Sagarin top 25 and 3-5 against the top 50
