Braveheart makes The Patriot look like a Ken Burns work.
I do take issue with the portrayal of Cornwallis though, he was far from a fat boob.
Much like the pacific, it reflects on the human aspect of war and the absolute horror it entails.
It was an ok movie, I guess.
Hated that movie. Absolutely horrid IMO. The critics loved it, but I have never seen the attraction.
Band of Brothers focused on the human aspects as well. Same could be said about Hamburger Hill. The Pacific was just really dark. Yeah, I know war is horrible and all, but it isn't all negative.
The Thin Red Line just didn't have any decent acting nor a decent plot. Just my opinion. I think it's a classic example of "the critics loved it, so hence it probably will suck."
