Best win of the year?

There's not a Big 12 team that could beat us right now but Texas and Kansas if there was a rematch

I know UT is still riding the adrenaline wave from these last few (great) wins, but you have to be realistic. Do you even watch the Big 12? Just because you beat Kansas once (by shooting very, very well) doesn't mean your in anyway superior to that conference.

Texas and Kansas are obvious, but Kansas St and Texas A&M are both solid teams that are as good as 90% of the SEC conference. (outside of UK/UT) They could beat anyone on a given night, including both of the SEC teams mentioned above.

I do watch the Big 12. I think Kansas State is a little overrated right now, and I watched the game where the Aggies lost their second best player to a horrific injury. Only time I have seen players crying during a game on the court (after they saw the compound fracture and he had been taken away).

I do agree that those 4 teams could beat any team in the SEC on a given night.

I have said before but I will repeat, there is not much separation this year in basketball for any team.

Wide open NCAA tournament. The Big East is CLEARLY the best conference, but in the ACC? Who is excellent? North Carolina? Duke?

I HATE Wisconsin, but I would also hate playing them in the tournament. Lunardis latest bracketology has us playing as a 3 seed and facing 6 seed UNC in the second game...YUCK.

If I get to choose a highly ranked team to play against in the tourney, give me Villanova.

You might want to go tell that to the K-State team in the locker room right now, that is up by 10 on Texas at the half. There's another half to play and UT could win, but I think K-State is worthy of its ranking.

Normally you don't want to play teams with GREAT guard play when it comes tourney time, and that's exactly what Villanova has. I have seen some less than stellar performances from them this year, but I don't know if I would take that matchup or not.

Of course, most of the teams in the top 5 have great guard play, so its a moot point.

Beating Kansas when we shoot the lights out was a great win, but it came when we shot the lights out.

Beating a legit top 25 team when we cannot throw a ball into the ocean is an awesome accomplishment.

Stephen I cannot fathom why you cannot hit free throws. I am glad you do not have the guilt on your shoulders of knowing we lost because of you.

The team UGA beat in Ga Tech just beat UNC in Chapel Hill (was a close game at the end but GT was up 20 at one point). I am sure we will be told by some that Ga Tech sucks and the SEC is still no good.

Charleston just got win 11, but they are terrible also.

Seems early to call a must win, but Florida has to beat LSU. Xavier beat Dayton to get to 12-5 and 4-0 in the A10 and Florida still gets to play them OOC.

Alabama did itself no favors if it wants to be in the NCAAs when it lost to Arkansas. If Pelphrey had not suspended anyone this season, his team would look very different.

I am very proud of the Vols, and I think the SEC is still better than the Big 10 and still on track to be the 4th best conference in NCAA BB.

Can Illinois join Michigan State and Purdue and Wisconsin as potential tournament teams? I am still laughing at those who said that Penn State was pretty good.

1. Kansas is a better win because Ole Miss was just as bad from the floor as we were plus they have awful posts.

2. UNC has proven to be a mediocre team so that takes away from your point about GT and Charleston.

Perhaps K State fans were informing their own squad that they are overrated?

I was surprised by that game. It is strange to think as much as I hate Bo Ryan and his style that he may be coaching one of the hardest outs in the tournament.

The Syracuse team looks legit as well.

Scottie Reynolds is a grown man, but after watching Bone on against Ole Miss and Maze on Collins I think that we have some good guard stoppers now.

Villanova would make us look silly 19/20 times we played.

No.

Georgetown and Dayton are good wins, and they did beat Ole Miss by more than we did.

I have watched them several times this year. They could not stop Chism and they cannot get 40 from Scottie Reynolds.

Starting Feb 6th I think they lose at least 4 of their last 9 games.

I wasnt suprised in the least. Neither was sportsbook and other betting agencies, who had Texas as underdogs.

Syracuse has a great 1/2 punch with Rautins and Johnson thats hard to stop. But if they are not shooting it well, that seems to be their achilles heel.

Wow Hardwood, go ahead and predict tomorrows top 25 games then. Should be pretty easy for a pundit such as yourself.

I will take TN, Purdue, Ohio State, GT and Wichita State with the shocker over Northern Iowa.

I really wish you would take the word "predict" and cram it.

I never said I could predict anything perfectly. I'm simply not surprised that a legitimate top 10 team that plays extraordinary defense could win on their home floor.

I'm trying to figure out how a Wichita State team that has all of two losses winning on their home floor, which is the toughest building in the Valley, would constitute an upset. I'll be surprised if the morning line doesn't have them favored.

They are just that. Wichita St -2.5.

Amazing what not having a point guard will do to a team.

Larry Drew has been used like charmin all season. Kid hasn't shown any desire to ball.

kid hasnt shown any desire to ball?

I hope you look less like Jay Bilas and more like Stu Scott or your pronouncements are more hilarious than the "boom goes the dynamite" kid.

From what I have seen, Dexter Strickland seems to be a better option at the point anyways, even though he has played less of it in his life than Drew by a long shot.
