Better Call Saul

Just watched the recording tonight. He should have capped Don Hector
On the podcast they theorized that he had enough time to kill Don Balsa but the cousins would have mowed him down. And that would have been breaching his deal with Gus. He trusted Mike to keep his father safe and that was his first and only priority.

I missed how Nacho got his zip-ties off and did he stab the cartel guy? Won't the fact that he got out of his zip ties (and had a knife?) cast doubt on his testimony?

It was a shard of glass he pocketed after Gus shattered it earlier. It was displayed in the opening scene.

Nah, all he cared about was his Dad being safe. The only way to do that was stick to the story, and don't do anything stupid. Also it shows that Nacho isn't like the Salamanca's and Gus, he has a heart and empathy. Sure he could have easily taken at least 1 out with him, but thats not who Nacho is.

Also Hector is alive in BB so there's no way they could kill him in the prequel. Same with Bolsa.

I’m looking forward to why Lalo isn’t around in Breaking Bad. He is the best character in the series. For me.

Hope he goes out in a blaze or gets a spin off.

Going out in a blaze for sure. I agree his character is written as good or rivals any other character in the series which is quite an accomplishment for the developers and writers in the Breaking Bad franchise.

He is a top 3 character on the show for sure. I think Mike kills him, thus leading to Gus trusting Mike unconditionally in BB.

I find it interesting how Mike continues to challenge Gus concerning Nacho’s father. Mike is a criminal with a conscious and is trying to drag the other criminals along with him

Which is interesting because, I might be wrong, I haven't seen BB in 7 years or so, but Mike never really questions Gus in BB. He certainly never comes out and says "you aren't going to do that" like he does in BCS. In BB Gus is like a God who never makes a mistake. Clearly not the case in BCS. He even seems unsure of himself at times. Its kinda weird to see.

Still trying to guess what scam they’re planning for Howard. Kim has really changed from loving Jimmy in spite of his antics to encouraging / participating in them.

I think they’re sabotaging his rep with the firm headed by the lawyer with whom Kim had the meeting. It’s to spur a quicker settlement with the Sandpiper class action. Jimmy/Saul gets paid a big sum when that happens and they want to use that to build Saul Goodman & Associates…and Kim’s pet cases.

Its Gus' house. He is very paranoid about Lalo. There's another scene later in the episode that will clear it up. And its a great scene.
It doesn’t fully explain the couple. I assume they’re compensated employees of Fring, but it seems like they live in that HOA. But that’s part of the greatness of both BB and BCS…they don’t explain everything. Leave some blanks for us to fill in.
