'03 I believe. I was the only orange shirt in a sea of crimson in the section I sat in (I attended the game with a Bama buddy who had season tickets). When they the ball and had it 2nd and short around midfield with just a couple minutes remaining, I got all kinds of back slaps and condolences from the Gumps telling me "good game, " "travel safe," etc. Man, were they pissed, especially after the 4th and 19 play.
2003 yes was there it was amazing

Are those tickets sold to fans or were they dispatched to Ticket Master to be scalped to fans?

I would like to know the answer to that because last year they sold them to a ticket service and claimed that they were sold out. When in fact they were not. And the fans had to purchase tickets at premium prices with tack on fees.

I was blessed to attend the 41-14 victory over the Gumps in Tuscaloosa, breaking the streak and getting to hear and see Peyton leading Rocky Top after the game in their own stadium. And by the way Legion Field is trashy.

Legion Field is located in Birmingham. First time UT went back to Tuscaloosa was 1999... 21-7 Tee Martin victory.

My understanding is that those tickets are in the party deck area in the upper North endzone. 2K each.

I’ve never been to the Swamp. I thought about it but I’ve heard horror stories from the 90’s to the present. The urinating in cups isn’t a myth as many if my fraternity brothers witnessed it.

I've been there 10 times. Never had anything happen outside of a few students yelling at me. Nothing serious or bothersome. Just ignore and keep walking. Been invited to tailgates there many times. Invited to park cars in yards with promises to watch it. Never had any damage. first in 1985 and the last in 2007. Worse problem I had was in 1999 with some UT fans. They tried to sit 6 people in 4 seats next to us. I told them real quick that was not going to work. I was not going to fight for my seats every time we got up and down. That 2 of them needed to go elsewhere which they did.

I've been all over to Tennessee games and found that if you don't engage with those that wish to engage with you, you will not have any problems. The vast, vast majority are cordial and extremely nice. I've tailgated with rival fans everywhere..

I like to see a Vols game in Neyland when I can, but it's great to root for them at an away game if you get the chance.
I had the chance last season to see them for the first time since Derek Dooley was coaching and took a knee against Bama from midfield with just under a minute left before halftime, while down less than a TD, with Bray at the helm. Unfortunately, the game I bought tickets to was USC. USC fans were not very good winners.

At UT from 67 thru 70. Beat the Bear 4 straight including a 24 -0 shutout and a stomping in B"ham. Bear was most gracious loser I ever saw. It was incredible to be on the hill then.

Only fans I've really ever had problems with on the road were in Lexington. Most others were all inviting and cordial

Really jealous of everyone's post in this thread. Unfortunately my only attended game last season was against USCjr. The loss was as crushing as it gets. I stayed until the end and watched USC fans storm the field. It was actually my first away game. I was berated the whole walk to and back from the stadium. On top of that I bought a counterfeit ticket off some dude outside the stadiu and couldn't get my money back.

Yet for some reason I want to make the trip to Gainesville next season. It cant get worse, can it?

My first true away game was last year at SC. Still have PTSD every time I hear Sandstorm. Or that awful rooster crow.
I was there too. I thought it was pathetic how unoriginal their chabts were. Ripping Sandstorm off and adding a rooster crow is some dumb high school crap. Then they have GAME-COCK chants. That's it. All game, non stop. I guess it didn't help they scored a TD near every possession.

Been to Gainesville 3 times, 97 (a friend of ours made an epic 300 stand at the copper monkey, at least I think that is what it was called), 99 we saw a white tn 4 runner get flipped over near the frat houses by the swamp and the best trip in 2001 when Travis Stevens drained the swamp.

Got an relocation ticket update. Said about 1200 tickets with only 100 in lower level. Doubt if anything left when my time slot comes up Friday afternoon.
