The plan, unveiled Tuesday as part of the administration’s agenda of regulatory actions, likely wouldn’t take effect for several years. The Food and Drug Administration plans to publish a proposed rule in May 2023, though the agency cautioned that date could change. Then the agency would invite public comments before publishing a final rule. Tobacco companies could then sue, which could further delay the policy’s implementation.

Wow, they're so concerned

I don't think the nicotine causes cancer. The other carcinogens are responsible for that.

The $5-$6 gas will force smokers to buy more cartons per trip, so there's that.
Cigarettes are a nasty terrible habit. But it isn’t the government’s job to regulate how a person wants to treat their own body. This Is the very definition of the nanny State

They will pry 1 out of my cold, dead hand. I work out, am in pretty good shape other than my lungs. Half the time i dont even WANT toj quit this terrible habit. When SHTFan ...having a smoke keeps me from doing things i would surely regret, and sometines get locked up for....

You do you brother , smoking and drinking are two things you won’t have to worry about the left using other countries as examples of things we should be more like them at . 3 things all countries run on .. Caffeine, Nicotine and Alcohol .
