Biden Not Adding Taxes To Middle Class

I would argue that the whole tax code needs to see the trashbin of history. Code and Complexity is what is allowing all this division to happen
Remove the requirement for employers to take out taxes in employees' paychecks. I mean people are stupid enough to say 'I got a tax refund' every year when any thinking person knows they are getting their overpayment returned with a hearty thank you and no interest from the government. If everyone had to pay taxes quarterly or calculate how much of their paycheck to send in for their weekly tax bill there would be a revolution that makes the Tea Party look like an eighth grade graduation.

Constitutional amendment: No deductions, all income counted. Multiply by .1, attach check here.

But the complex tax code is how politicians make good on campaign donations that keep them in office. You can hide a lot of payback in thousands of pages of tax changes.

And for someone such as I and someone in with a fluctuating income, it would make sense to base the tax on paycheck, rather than yearly. I dont have to guess, they dont have to guess.

One thing I forgot to put in my amendment. If you don't pay something, you don't get to vote in any election.... AND.... any and all congressional perks and pay are voted on by the people.

I'm supposed to pay quarterly, but I choose not to. I can take that money and invest it and make far more than the penalty that I get takes away. But I hear what you are saying. It's all a pipe dream though. Those 535 ass hats in DC are not at all interested in fairness.

If it is true trickle down has never worked, is it also true trickle out (to DC) never worked? If trickle out works, but trickle down doesn't, how does government trickle it down to the needy?

Slowly drip drip drip = action done.

Without graduated tax rates, deductions, exemptions, credits, etc, that would absolutely work great. Otherwise you really have to know what the yearly total income (including spouse if filing jointly) and all those other factors, or what comes out of a paycheck is a best guess.

It's impossible to raise corp taxes and not increase the burden on the lower and middle classes.

That is true of certain types of taxes, like Trump's tariffs on Chinese imports. But income taxes are not passed directly on to consumers like some taxes.

Are you really that dense? Any amount of money out of a big business owners pocket is directly handed to you and I. Heck, even small business does it, just not to the go to hell degree

Thanks for the compliment, Mr. Friendly. No, you're saying that does not make it true. Some taxes are passed on directly to buyers. Some are not.

It absolutely can trickle down. When Trump announced the tax cuts a lot of corps and businesses gave bonuses and raises to their employees.

The company I work for as an example raised their 401k match from 3% to 5%, raised the bonus potential, started offering paid maternity leave, and invested more in their communities through their philanthropy programs.
