Or, they could see the amount of $ they would expect to see from expanding the playoff to 12 and fall over themselves rushing to vote to approve.

They are a loose affiliation. The next tv deal any one of them begins to negotiate, the network will "strongly suggest" by way of promising more money if they do to sweeten the pot. That loose confederation will fall apart at the first hint that someone is looking to pull a trigger.

I’m sure they weren’t; however the 4 teams added are collectively better than any 4 the conference had left…..in my opinion.

I was wondering if any of the old 12 will even win the conference now.

It's the best they were going to get. I am kinda shocked they might actually get all four. I imagined some would turn them down.

I would love it if the Playoffs stayed at 4 and it was the top 4 conference champs and one of the PAC/ACC/B10 gets let off for one of these new guys.
