The San Diego market is much, much more attractive than the Memphis market in pretty much every way.

They tried to get in touch with the Big 12 back when they were looking for either A&M's replacement (Tulsa's newspaper released some e-mails form it a while back to either the OU AD or President).

One of them was from the SDSU AD or Pres - seemed fairly friendly, like they knew each other or had met each other sometime before - and one of the topic's he mentioned/discussed was trying to gauge any possible Big 12 interest in SDSU.

Since that was all I really saw about it / from SDSU, I'm presuming thoughts/talks on the matter didn't go very far.

The BIG XII also dropped ties with the Holiday Bowl. San Diego is not our destination.

Two most logical teams to add would be Cincy and UCF...two very furtile grounds., both are already the #2 programs in their states.

UCF is in Florida, correct? By what logic is UCF #2 in Fla (unless Orlando seceded from Fla... and joined up with Wyoming or Montana or something)

If you mean these are 2nd tier programs then maybe so.

pretty sure it was just a one game thing and we played them in 2011. they were replacing UNC for the first year after we bought UNC out, i think thats how it was.

Well, the current playoff situation is not helping my argument. So can the other conferences decide not to have a conference championship game and call it even?

Only complaint about big 12 is that they need a championship game.
