CFB officiating is definitely bad and very likely corrupt in some circumstances. The sport is more ripe for corruption now than ever IMO; multi-billion dollar TV deals, coach contracts approaching $100 million, huge sums bet on games every weekend, players signing 6 and 7 figure NIL deals, a governing body (the NCAA) that appears to be disintegrating, and ultra wealthy boosters feeling unconstrained by this whole environment. Under those conditions it seems virtually impossible that money is not finding its way into the pockets of officials, especially when the officials are relatively low paid part time employees.

Rofl. Clueless.

After Oklahoma State basketball coaches started publicly naming NCAA officials involved in their recent appeal, those NCAA employees started getting threats and harassed. I have to think this is s product of that. Criticizing officials is one thing, broadcasting their names is likely the line that was crossed.

Or conferences and the NCAA could simply do a better job of teaching and policing their game officials. It has been obvious for decades that there has been a problem. If calling individuals out by name is what it takes to get the problem solved is on conferences and the NCAA. Don't shoot the messenger.
