It’s rare…but it happens. It doesn’t mean a team that was decent all season suddenly sucks. It’s a tough loss for them, and it’s fun to laugh about, but it’s not the end of the world.

I get it. But no. Kentucky is not supposed to lose to saint peters in the first round. I’m really not to worried about it more less just makin a few jokes about it so I don’t actually get mad. Although I have been completely done with Cal way before this embarrassing loss. Your right tho it does happen in March madness and it’s not a big deal in the big scheme of things.

The same would happen at Kansas, Duke, UNC etc
They pay him a ton of money to win games not lay an egg on National tv in the AAs

The difference in Barnes and Cal is Barnes actually coaches and develops and Cal depends on 5* talent. I hope Ky keeps Cal. If they want Pearl in KY then by all means hire him. He is Cal 2.0 , just coaches better

Pearl tries to at least put the program first. Cal is like to cool for school except now he can’t win anymore and his pitch is looking real suspicious. I like pearls intensity but I wouldn’t want him at Kentucky. I think they should hire saint peters coach. Tennesse handled that team today like they were supposed to. I watched it. Was close at the beginning then Barnes got his team playing. Barnes coached his team. Well fulky also went ape **** on the other team.

I do not hate Pearl and I think he is a good coach but I think Barnes is better

Calipari left both UMASS and Memphis in NCAA trouble. Probably learned his lesson (Or hired an advocate / lawyer) to keep it from happening again at Kentucky - But he is still a slime-ball. I don’t think that he is a great recruiter at all. - I just think that the “blue-blood” program sells itself.
Truthfully, he is now becoming more of a liability than an asset for Kentucky basketball. But they have so much invested in him that that they are now STUCK with him!

Congratulations Coach Rick Barnes! (Now 10-7 vs Kentucky!)

I’ve been exactly where you are before brother. It’s sad the amount of ineptitude it takes to lose a game like that with the talent Kentucky has. Reminds me of Butch jones

I took a bus trip in the early 90’s from Northern KY to Ktown to see the Vols play the Cats. There were about 30 buses, a sea of blue… then there was me all decked out in orange. I got cussed down and back, and when the bus broke down they blamed me. F them MF’ers, I revel in their misery.

No, the problem for Cal is that he’s a sh*tty in-game coach and always has been. Rides on the coat tails of the talent he recruits. The NIL is just another way to expose what he really is and isn’t. Unfortunately, ESPN will keep carrying his jock strap around and pumping him up as a great coach who everyone would love to play for.

Cal isn’t going anywhere. But if he did, I wonder who they’d hire. When BG was fired, everyone kinda knew Cal would be the target. There isn’t an obvious name out there now. Would love to see them take Nate Oats from Bama.
