Big Guy commits to Vols!

You should hope so, kid hustles hard. Where the hell were you last season? Ease off of him, he's not in the game to shoot, he's there to hustle. If you want to get on the kids who do the wrong things, be my guest, but who in the hell are you to get on the ones who do it the right way?

Where in the hell were you last season? No one doubts his hustle, but he sucks! Guys hustle in the wheelchair league but doesn't mean that they should see the floor in a D1 game.

He's doing what he's told to do. Running around on a message board spouting off about how the coach's son sucks makes you look like a giant twatwaffle, imo.

Bag of douche. Using your words he's "told" to suck?

He's explosive that's for sure. Keeps the ball up high and doesn't bring it down on the catch.

2 Quick thoughts for next basketball season.
1. Lay off of Pearl Jr. The guy is a player. He is not a threat on offense, but he does a great job of frustrating the other teams players. He hustles. There are times when I think he plays a bit too much, but he deserves 6-8 minutes per just to be a pest.

2. Brian Williams will be the most improved player in the SEC this year. Look for him to be close to 10ppg and 10rpg. He is going to shine, and the signing of Fields is going to only make UT harder to score on in the paint. I don't care where he played. All-time shot blocker anywhere means something. It will be a battle in the East this year. UT, KY, FLA, Vandy, and Georgia will all be tourney teams. Ky could really finish 4th in the division.

I guess the concept was just too difficult for you to understand. You're on the basketall board running down a four year player who happens to be the son of the head coach and a member of (so far) the most successful vol bball team in NCAA tournament history. Easily the DUMBEST segment of our fanbase.

Right on man. Pearl is nowhere near my favorite player, but the guy plays his heart out for Tennessee. What ever happened to the appreciation for effort?

Who is going to be our leader on the court? Our chemistry will still be out of whack.
Are we going to have a legit point guard?

There has been a lot of talk about Hopson stepping up as a leader this year. Same for big baby Brian Williams, that January scandal has really motivated him. Goins seems like a solid point for next yr imo.

Shoot at the very least Pearl can give out some fouls and then return to the bench. It keeps some starters out of foul trouble

Our prayers have been answered!!!!!!!!!!! Does this mean Pearl JR. Will still touch the floor?

His name is Steven not Bruce, so he's not a Jr, you're 0 for 1.

He plays pretty good defense and he's ball smart and a team leader

Besides, Steven Pearl has more talent in his right pinky than you do in your whole body, keep your mouth shut about things that you have no idea about.

I don't know if this is a race issue or not, but skylar McBee can play.

clearly. Forget that the preponderance of his legend is built upon his 3 point shooting and the fact that he couldn't hit the ocean from a raft last season. Dude can play.

I've never understood the love for McBee. He's completely useless out there if he can't knock down threes.

Decent stats on a bad team. Reads as if we've also picked up a decent shot blocker as well.

Solid get.

eh, i won't get too excited about this till i see some shots blocked and some rebounding dominance down low.
