That's the prevailing story here - AUB president wasn't having anything of it and forced a traditional search but the money folks that ponied up to get rid of Gus were wanting Steele.

Not sure where he's at but it's not in Knoxville, he was kicked off team last year for domestic violence. It was reported in November he plead guilty to Domestic assault a class A misdemeanor. Hope he gets his life back on track I had always had high Hope for him.

It's like the losses this season and certain doom, going into the offseason, but still getting good recruits/transfers is echoing the 2019 season. So many ups and downs... Can we just level out please? lol

I could maybe get excited about this if we had a different coaching staff, but tbh I don't think any player(s) will make much of a difference with this staff.

Not trying to be negative, it's just how I feel. Can't see this team getting any better with this HC.

Not to disrespect your opinion on the coaching staff, but after all these years? Since we have cycled through so many coaches with less than stellar results? I am more to the point of getting the jugheads that have had an influence over this circus for the past 15 years plus out of the way, and seeing if that makes strides forward. Sooner or later, if the old car won't run right, you quit changing the oil, and put in a new engine.
