I'm guessing it's the gamecock loss is what he's referring to and look forward for some payback so I don't have to listen to these cocks anymore.
I'm originally from Tennessee a little town called Erwin but have called South Carolina home since 1996. Anytime the Vols lose it sucks a big one but losing to the cocks means I hear about it constantly especially the way last year went.
So Omari if you're reading this have a pancake block for me buddy and kick them in the cocks.

Since 1984 for me. Great state, but I hate the Cocks and Tigers. I'll pull for The Citadel, College of Charleston, Charleston Southern, or Coastal Carolina in certain instances, but that's as far as I can go.

My daughter is a rising senior at little Carolina and the ONLY time I want the Cocks to win is against UF.

yea, that is true I suppose. But for those who don't know the story....Mary (the elephant) went on her rampage in Sept 1916 in Kingsport but they had no way of euthanizing her there so they brought her to Erwin and used a railroad crane to do it.

My grandfather was at that hanging. I didn't remember the date but remember him telling that story. He passed away in 1971 at age 99. He worked in the coal mines in southwestern Virginia until he was 68 yrs. old. I have been a Vols fan since Tennessee beat LSU with Billy Cannon. Tom Siler days a Knoxville News Sentential.

Yeah it was very nice lived on top of mountain with about 10,000 acres of game management land behind the house. Lived so close to the appalachian trail that hikers would cut through our property to get to lodges on the river.
Like onevol74 says if your a wild elephant you want to avoid Erwin unless it's looking to get hung. I remember an antique store called the hanging elephant with a mural of it being hung.

1894–September 13, 1916), also known as "Murderous Mary", was a five-ton Asian elephant who performed in the Sparks World Famous Shows circus. After killing circus employee Walter “Red” Eldridge on his second day as her handler in September 1916, in Kingsport, Tennessee, she was hanged in nearby Erwin.

She should have been able to die in the wild; as GOD intended... Man is always messing up God's Plan, and paying dearly.

That employee was a homeless person they had hired to handle the elephant, he had zero expertise in handling animals. Mary also did not go 'on a rampage'. Mary killed him because he was poking at a bad tooth she had and it was really painful for her. She also was not killed on the first attempt, the chain snapped and she broke her hip the first time. They had to do it again. The suffering she endured was awful.

Why the freak couldn't they just shoot her if she had to die? How cruel.

Small world. My husband and I lived in Erwin for 13 years (originally from Jonesborough). We’ve lived on the coast of South Carolina for the last decade.

I know what you mean about the Gamecocks fans. But I can tolerate them more than the Clemson folks. I have to say I’ve enjoyed the past few months where those in purple are concerned. 😂
