If we play well the rest of the year and next year we could land Kiel I believe. What we need to do is lock down a top 5 class this year at worst top 10 I know its not likely to happen but it would go along way, Auburn did it last year in the last minutes.

Also, Worley is rated at that level b/c some people believe he is a product of the system he plays in. They are a spread team that tosses the ball all over the yard. He put up 92TD's in his last two years combined. He is in SC, but if he did it in FL at a 6A school he would be one of the top prospects at QB in the country, IMO. His competition is what hurts him.

isnt this good for UT tho? i mean if he stays rated low, wouldnt most schools shy away from him?
or does it even matter cuz hes a UT lock?

I don't think it helps or hurts us here. Worley has sounded like a firm commit to the school in all his interviews and has begun to help recruit players here. When he was here for his unofficial visit, he and Posey spoke to Tiny and tried to recruit him to come on board.

Not sure about that. His competition is pretty good. Maybe not like South Florida, but pretty good. He plays in 4A, which is the biggest in South Carolina. His team was in the finals the past 2 years and is currently ranked #2.

I'm not dogging the competition. I said some people say that. I think he is a player regardless. I like his accuracy and his decision making ability. Of course, I base that on his film.

I would like to add him but as much as i would enjoy a receiver, I would love to add a big time running back. I see that we signed a qb is he for real or not?

I watched Worley play on espn a few weeks ago vs #1 DE/overall player Jadeveon Clowney's team. Worley had a bad first half, no tds 2 ints and maybe 100 yards. Clowney was awesome in the first half, it seemed like he was in on every tackle and sacked worley at least 4 times and made him throw both picks. When the 2nd half started it was a complete turn around. Worley went like 15 of 15 for 270 and 5tds all in the 3rd and added another td and about 100 more yards in the 4th. Worley was very accurate, moved well in the pocket, was a GREAT leader, showed good arm strength and solid footwork. The only thing I noticed about him was a slow release but he threw an amazing td pass from about 35 yards out with clowney slamming him to the ground. He was almost on the ground when he quickly released the ball and hit his WR in the back right corner of the endzone. He looked for real to me. I was VERY impressed with him and how he bounced back in the 2nd half and how he led his team from losing to a blowout win.

Why is Worley ranked as the 31st qb and only 3 stars?

Some of this can be attributed to Worley's supposed weaker performance at camps. The analysts were not as impressed with his showing during the Summer. Much the flip side of Bray, whose rating jumped considerably after the Summer camps.

Considering Worley's performance this season, especially after being named the MVP in the ESPN game against Clowney's team, I would think the analysts may reconsider Worley's final ranking.

I agree - SC puts out a ton of football talent for a small state so his competition is good

Most times the QB in HS is the best athlete on the team. We could go after several QB's and they can end up playing another position. Plus we need several QB's - stack em up like cord wood. Maybe one of them will be great.
I'm not saying that we aren't recruiting athletes that play multiple positions(quarterback could be one). I am saying that we aren't recruiting any other players to be quarterbacks for us this year. We don't need qb's as much as linemen, defensive backs, linebackers and receivers.

Good assesment, I missed that game bc we were moving and didnt have cable, but you just made me feel really good about our Qb recruitment.

I have no problem with them wanting him and him being #1 I saw what he did in the 3rd quarter of that game, but i was just wondering why he was so low. I know rankings are not everything I like seeing that the top kids consider us every year. I just want to start landing them, I'm honestly really hoping A.J. Johnson starts a chain of bigger kids committing to us then maybe we get back into the running for Crowell. Even tho we have 4 running backs coming back next year you cant tell me if we got him we wouldn't use him.

Martin may have started the run of higher rated players that commit to UT.

With The offensive line were developing I would like to see us become a physical running team, with a shut down D. We have Wilcox, we need to sell our offensive lines future to Isiah Crowell and try and steal Jeff Driskel.

I sure hope you said this and not something you found that Dooley said cause if this is what you want then you need to remember what happen to the last person who tried that style of football yea he working for CBS right now calling out Kiffin. RING A BELL.

Whats wrong with being a great running team and a great defense? Who won the championship last year bama with 2 great backs and a good defense and a qb that was average at best

man no joke it was crazy. i've never seen a qb throw 5 tds in one quarter but he(Worley) threw 5 tds on 5 drives with all drives being longer than 50 yards but only taking about 2 or 3 plays(2 times it only took 1 play). i'm not 100% on the yards he put up but he was a perfect 13 of 13 on those drives. what i was most impressed with was that the passes he made were NOT little outs or curls or slants that the wrs slipped a few tackles and took in for 6. they were all streaks, fades, deep outs, corners and posts that he dropped in on the money. he hit a 15 deep out that most college qb would've had trouble hitting. he does not seem to be lacking on the arm strength or accuracy. he just needs to be coached on setting his feet, following through the throw and how to square up his shoulders when he boots out or moves out of the pocket. a good college qb coach could work out his kinks pretty easy and it will only make him better as a complete qb.
