Sorry, but they truly did. Weakest UConn team I've seen in a long, long time. Don't mean to pile on but they won't go far in March.

I said earlier, we use to think when Azzi and Paige got to play togetherr they'd be unstoppable. Hasn't turned out that way.

Great win for the LVs! I knew we were due a good shooting night. Everything finally came together
A lot of people think otherwise. I don’t see the depth AT ALL.

UConn seems to be a one-player team at the moment, and that one player is Paige. They had ample chances to put the game away like they used to. This year's LV team is a better team than they have played in the past. They shoot the three well. Puckett had a good game as well, with some big 3s. It seems as though Geno isn't having Women's basketball all his way anymore.

Uconn fans expecting Fudd will be a difference maker in a big game against a worthy opponent are coming to the realization that will never be. She is a nice player, not a difference maker for a #1 recruit however. I give her the benefit of the doubt for the injuries, but still…. Strong is likely a worthy #1 recruit type, no doubt. Exceptional season for a freshman. She has a hard row to hoe ahead of her once Paige and Azzi leave the team next year (I suspect the injury history will force Fudd to leave after this year, I could be wrong). Either way, Sarah is looking down the barrel of a depleted UConn roster in her remaining years, and she will find it harder .

Geno may stick around for another 3-4 years, or not. His 25 class doesn’t look like it will move the needle. No bigs of any quality, Strong will be forced into the post more, and although KK is a talent, did everyone notice Paige was called upon to handle the ball all game to break the press? It’s not getting any easier going fwd for Uconn. Maybe they pull off a big win against SC this year before the embers die in Stoors. Maybe. But it cannot be easy recruiting to the big east these days. Players want TV exposure, UConn is stuck with a crappy regional tv package in a dead conference, with a team that now struggles to beat top 25 type teams.

Been reading some of the takes from the UConn side and a good portion have said the Tennessee press was ineffective. I see it quite differently - the press -or threat of it- causes UConn to speed up and get sloppy with their shots. Any time the press backed off, UConn went full bore as if they were trying to beat it. Think it really threw off their game plan and forced them to play a style of ball that they did not want to play. Credit to the defense all around.

A masterclass in coaching by CKC. Going into the season and admittedly, not watching many games to this point, I thought it would be a couple seasons before we really saw what she could do with her system. Doing it with this roster, this fast is an amazing achievement. That’s the best conditioned LV team I’ve seen since Pat’s years.

Somehow I’ve gotten to a side of X ive never seen! Apparently there’s a segment of UCONN fans that think Geno can’t coach anymore. Weird!
People have been crowing about this for a while now. Personally I’m on the fence. I’m no Pollyanna who thinks he is a perfect coach who can never do any wrong. I also think that it’s very hard to stay #1 for ever and all time (as I’m sure LV fans can understand). TBH there are a number of things in and out of his control that have contributed to UConn being an also ran for the past decade now.

geno has never played a lot of people even with 10 mcaa sitting on the bench at times. he's not going to change now. he's had great success for years.

I thought we actually wore them down. They ran the floor in the first half and was beating us back to the basket. As the game wore on, they weren't getting the open looks in the second half and the shots were coming up short - a sign of fatigue. It'll be interesting to see if the system works during the tournaments.

We (UConn) played like hot garbage tonight. LVs took full advantage of it. That run of yours killed us in Q3.
If I didn’t know better I’d have thought
the Lady Vols were the #5 team playing #19 UCONN.
