First - Oneida Tennessee is about 45 miles beyond the middle of no where.
It is heavily, heavily forested for miles - Oneida is an old mining community.
Any investigation is only as good as the witnesses as you can imagine and these two I would rate around a C and a C -.
If you have one isolated piece of information or evidence it sometimes doesn't tell you a whole lot. If you can layer 3 or 4 things and connect the dots - you may have something. Still if often boils down to how credible or believable the witnesses are. We do not polygraph them and are limited observing facial expressions, etc.
Witness and wife have heard screeching noises.
Witness has continuously had his light bulbs next to his front door of his trailer - unscrewed and removed.
Witness had a 15 - 30 second sighting of a forest person 15 yards from his hen houses about a month ago. Saw it's profile walking past and described forest person as 7 foot tall, not much hair on the face, tan or brown hair covering it's body as it walked from his yard into the woods. Looked like it might have mange. Described the build as normal and not broad chested. Time was about 7 o'clock.
This gentleman raised silky chickens and kept them in two very secure chicken coops. Starting in February - periodically something or someone would open the coops in the middle of the night. It would apparently devour one silky chicken - leaving the head, the wings, and the claws outside the coop and would systematically latch back and close the coop. The silky chicken is a Chinese breed and has hair on its body rather than feathers. The ducks and turkeys were not touched. Over a period of a couple months 10 silky chicken were eaten in this fashion until the owner decided to give his remaining chicken away.
His yard was overgrown and he had apples trees and walnut trees in his overgrown front yard. He also had a beagle chained outside his chicken coops.
He also had a inoperable car parked by his trailer and someone had kicked in two big dents in the side of it one night.
There really is no logical explanation for whatever accessed the chicken coops. No animal in my opinion could have accessed the coops, latched them back, and lodged a big log against the door. So either this gentleman and his wife are liars or his property has been visited by forest people. The witnesses were not the strongest but sometimes they just aren't that strong. I just wanted to give the few who are supportive on here a flavor for what I am trying to do.
Still looking for recent sightings in East Tennessee. Thanks,
