Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Forest People in Tennessee

I saw a photo off a game cam from southeast ky of a mt lion. It was actually put out by the KY dnr.

Tennessee game and fish told my grandfather that mtn lions didn't exist in west Tennessee, right after they handed him a 500 dollar ticket for killing one. ( this was in the 70's )

I know of a big black cat circling a cotton trailer back in the 60's (kids were in the trailer packing the cotton) also in west Tennessee.

I grew up in my younger years outside of a town called Moscow. Our place backed up to the wolf river. I heard a loud scream (like a woman) my dad told me it was a big cat ( mtn lion). Scared the crap out of me.

I heard that same thing in the middle of the night on the AT in Peck's Corner backcountry shelter about 11 miles out from Newfound Gap in the GSMNP several years ago. Sounded like a woman or a child/baby making the most awful loud high pitch scream you'd ever heard. Was told the same thing after I left there that it was a big cat making the sound.

I've listened to audio of a mountain lion scream and it sounded the same. I was always curious if a bobcat makes the same sound. I couldn't find anything.

I've seen hundreds of bobcats, never heard a sound like that before.

Arkansas says they don't exist here either. But they captured one a few months ago. Folks around here kept finding their livestock hanging in trees.

I think there's a difference (in Wildlife parlance) that saying something is no longer found somewhere isn't the same thing as something can't be found there. Humans aren't remotely indigenous to the South Pole but we sometimes stroll around there.

And that's not even counting people with that release/lose their "exotic" animals from time to time.

I can confirm the hell out of the fact we have big cats in east TN. I have a farm backed up to the Catoosa WMA in Morgan county. We have spotted a big cat 4 times this year on the farm. Mostly out in the front hayfield at night.

I posted a while back that the wild hogs were driving me crazy out there and also that our dogs got skunked and made it back into the house one night (thanks son). After that I started keeping a large spotlight on the front porch to use when we take the dogs out at night.

We have up to 15 deer that frequent our farm, sleeping in the orchard or front hayfield. You catch eyes shining back at you anytime you put the spot light on at night. Well we got a real good look at a big cat 3 times over a two week period. We had not seen any deer at all for a few days. I had just cut the hay so we had a good view. We saw the cat twice from a distance and kept the light on it until it went over the hill into the orchard. The last time we spotted him from about 50yrds out. The cat turned and ran from the far right to left across the field right in front of us. This is about a 15 acre field. From that distance, the cat looked to be taller at the back and heavier then my 90lb German Shepherd.

I guess the German Shepherds raising cain that night and the ruckus I made trying to call them back sent the cat on it's way. The deer all showed back up a few days later.

Took the dogs out the next morning and they hit the scent and we tracked the cat up past the polebarn and up the hill back into Catoosa. It was fairly dry, but I found partial prints also.

I know cool story Bro....

Later,

There was one spotted a few years ago out past Garners Creek area in Dickson county. It was all over the Nashville news as they were interviewing the ole timers who have seen it multiple times. I have a buddy that works with DGA and it was reported that one of their trucks hit one on Garners creek road about 4 months ago.

Edit- puma not a squatch

Could have been a screech owl.

I work with someone who has seen a black panther here. I believe it was a discussion point recently and there were multiple panther sightings.

I am not a hunter - I would have to ask around with regard to the mountain lions. I think there are big cats in East Tennessee - there is actually a Cherokee Death Cat - that the Mountain Monster hunters pursued one episode.

:eek:lol: I'll bet you didn't even make those up did you?

Currently in Oak Ridge at the American museum of science and energy at a town hall meeting with the finding Bigfoot group. Have seen Bobo, Matt, Cliff and Renee. I think 4 or 5 will share their stories shortly.

I think I signed something preventing that - but I will see what I can leak. I have been looking at 4 water bottles for the last 40 minutes. Still waiting on the mayor.

Thanks for adding validity to all your claims.
