Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Forest People in Tennessee

When I watch River Monsters they embellish some story but at least offer some proof with an actual creature. When I watch Finding Bigfoot a I see is a bunch of grown folks acting like idiots that never come up with any actual evidence.

Because they're actors, and Bigfoot is as real as the tooth fairy

I think big foot sh&t in my yard once, either that or my neighbor ran out of toilet paper again

If bigfoots are in fact real, you would think there would be a large enough population by now that we would have real proof like BV said, but maybe not. I've read a little on BF reproduction in the past, and this came from the 'experts'. They theorize once females reach sexual maturity they only reproduce every 6-8 years, and bare only one offspring. They believe this is because of the length of time needed to raise offspring, fertility based on available food, and also difficulty in finding mates. Assuming they are closely related to us, and great apes, they wouldn't have a particular mating season. They believe the females initiate the mating, and their gestation period would be 7-9 months.

Of course this data is based on absolutely nothing & could throw out the same data like a fart in the wind about unicorns, Loch Ness, dragons, leprechauns etc etc.......

the tooth fairy has left money under my pillow so don't discount this physical evidence so quickly

I've noticed the tooth fairy leaves more money than he used too. Assuming the tooth fairy is a "he" since the Rock played the role.

I don't see the correlation between medicine & made up/mythical creatures that there's not a shred of concrete evidence that they exist.

Medecine and it's research were once made up and believed to be that of witch craft.

Being open minded doesn't cost a thing CC

If someone offered concrete evidence my mind would be open. It's hard to believe such a large creature could be living amongst us & never be captured, shot, have clear video evidence etc. It is entertaining though.

You haven't looked hard enough.

It's there. Not popular. But there

There is also a theory that plays down ET because it would destroy Christianity. Maybe that why the "evidence" is down played on it.

I don't know. But, I don't write **** off because "there's no concrete evidence".

Sorry.

Yea I saw that "ET" movie. (Not ET).

I write off just about everything that doesn't offer evidence unless I actually see it. If someone wants to believe there's a hairy, 7 foot ape like creature living all over the US yet hasn't been caught or shot by now & all we have is hearsay & grainy videos of "something" that's always filmed by 1 guy by himself that's ok.

Last time there was a thread about this someone claimed there had been multiple sightings outside Bean Station. My family and others close to us have been in those woods for over 60yrs and had never come out with a story of Bigfoot. Now, is it possible? I guess but the woods have been known to play plenty of tricks (especially when senses are dulled)

True, but skepticism need not require a closed mind either. Indeed, no amount of open mindedness makes something more worthy of belief, only more likely to be believed.

A lack of definitive evidence may not preclude something from being true but it sure isn't something even an "open minded" person should simply ignore either.

Who really knows

I do know that I have hunted for many years and only saw a bobcat one time and they are everywhere. Animals have a way of avoiding human contact.

To totally dismiss the existence is premature.

I agree, and like I said that was their words, not mine. IF bigfoots are real though, a few parts of all that would be true about them. Like us and all of the great apes, they would not have a certain time for mating, and gestation would be 7-9 months. That much would be true.

Most of my research supports something along the lines of the following Octopus ---- sadly he was never told by the experts on Volnation that this is impossible. Shapeshifting Octopus, amazing camouflage - YouTube

With respect, I have no idea how one is associated with the other. (Or for that matter what would ever be considered "impossible" by the octopus. Tons of facinating things demonstrated by various cephalopods over the years)If anything the fact that we can find a creature capable of that, in an environment in which only a tiny fraction of humans interact, but still can't conclusively demonstrate the existence of a massive and widespread animal in our native environment... doesn't inspire confidence.

So we can go underwater in the vast ocean & find that this octopus exists beyond a shadow of a doubt but can't find a 7 ft ape in the woods? It's a big, black hairy creature when it crosses the road or gets caught in some grainy film but it's a shape shifting, camo expert when someone goes looking for it. Lol ok.
