Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Forest People in Tennessee

The theory is that the craft's antigravity field would push aside air in the atmosphere and prevent it from piling up on the leading surfaces of the craft. The shock wave causing the sonic boom would never form.

I'm telling you, the areas of zero point energy and anti gravity propulsion are not supernatural. These technologies are very real and have been developed for years.

Your other post intrigued me so I did some reading.

Zero energy is very real.

I think we're talking about two different things...I'm not talking about sonic booms which actually occur at relatively sedate speeds, 760mph at sea level. I'm talking about the hyper compression of air that MUST occur when a solid object, much less one the size described in the article, moves at the kinds of speed described.

Even in science fiction, where they just make up fixes to problems, this issue is addressed all the time. Travel in space is another animal entirely than moving through an atmosphere. Air (or any fluid) just can't be moved from here to there at some colossal rate of speed without side effects. It's more than just aerodynamics once you get to a certain speed.

Somebody just go ask Dobbs.

Not buying it...even theoretically what properties of antigravity would simply circumvent the physics of fluid displacement? Even if such a "field" existed and had a profound aerodynamic effect there's no getting around that since the air and a solid cannot occupy the same space simultaneously the former will be displaced at the rate of speed the solid is moving. Without going full "unicorns and leprechauns" there's just no way around that issue.

Exactly..all that air has to go somewhere..in a really big hurry.

Do you really think so? Every time I see something promising, somebody completely debunks it.

There is a documentary on it I watched the other day. If interested, I'll see if I can find it again. Seems this stuff was in the works all the way back to the 60's.

If you haven't already read up on it, find an article or documentary on Mark McCandlish and the "Flux Liner" project.

Also, one minor correction, this goes back much further. Nazi Germany was busy developing similar tech during WW2 with the "Nazi Bell" or "Die Glocke".

Any of you guys heard the story from the UT students having an encounter in the smoky mountains?

Just spent 2 days reading every single page of this thread. I have to say its been very entertaining. Sad that it had to end

So if you don't mind me(us) asking what was your impression? Anything jump out at you regarding the discussion? I'm guessing most of us have forgotten a great deal of the content.

While most of the joking wasnt too over the top and gave me a good laugh, there were some people that were plain rude to the people that have different opinions than themselves. Had they kept the joking light hearted I believe the thread would still be booming. I personally do not believe in bigfoot, but as others have said, I enjoy reading people's strange encounters with unknown things.

The thread isn't necessarily dead. Posters can still post and discuss the possibility of Bigfoot. Lack of fossil evidence makes me lean heavily toward non-belief, but I like to keep an open mind and believe in possibilities. We know giant apes(gigantopithecus) existed at one time in southeast Asia. Could they have evolved and migrated to North America? It could be possible. And as for lack of scientific observances, we find previously undiscovered species every year. So while I find the existence of bigfoot unlikely, I don't think it impossible.
