Biggest concern next week = officiating

The game being on CBS and Gary has really got me thinking about turning the volume down. It sure would be nice if you're streaming it using the CBS app if you could pick an alternate audio like you can for Spanish except you could listen to the radio broadcast
Gary is unbearable
I stream 99.1 and play the tv to match the calls. But I still feel like Gary not only ruins the game, he ruins the game thread bc I still have to read the most stupid sh*t he says.

Seems like you took a shot at our fan base with the loser comment.

You know damn well Bama gets the courtesy of no calls against them.
I didn’t take a shot at our fan base just the excuse makers. All our fan base doesn’t wear tin foil hats and cry about officiating conspiracies.
Refs missed a face mask against A&M that would have kept their final drive alive. They also missed several pass interference calls against us in the same game. Who was predetermined to win by the evil empire?
Bad officiating has been highlighted by instant replay and it’s usually the losing side crying about it. I jump up and down and use words Mr. Webster didn’t put in his book @ every bad call during a game. I also have enough common sense to know more than likely it wasn’t an intentional bad call.

Lol. Give it a rest for crying out loud with the premade excuses.
Not pre-made. The SEC officiating isn't good or consistent. Every team gets bad calls.

However, there have been several against UT this year that are beyond pale. The two non-calls on PI last Saturday literally changed the course of the game. One of the holding calls was critical and hurt a UT drive... a holding call that is routinely ignored by SEC officials.

I can't tell you why... but the bad calls in critical situations have been skewed against UT this year.

The OP isn't wrong. That is unlikely to change in a game @ Bama.

Losers blame refs. Yeah there’s been plenty of bad calls and every fan base has folks that cry it’s only against them.
It isn't just only against "them". But you can now go ahead and explain why UT has NOT gotten PI calls that are routinely called and HAS been hit with PI calls that are routinely NOT called.

The officials on both missed deep ball PIs last Saturday literally stood there and watched a DB hold the WR's arm in a way that prevented a play on the ball. They weren't close calls.

Truthfully there were one or two missed face mask calls by UT. A&M fans should be upset by them. But I don't think either impacted the drive.

Explanation is simple, some people suck at their job. Refs are no different. What’s the payoff for calling the game in favor of A&M? If gamblers got to the officials to rig the game they’re pretty pissed this week and the bodies should show up in the river shortly. What’s the benefit for the SEC to tilt the game against UT? We’re the better shot to get another SEC team in the top 10 and god knows the conference needs it this year.
I thought you were one of the more level headed posters on this site. Your position on this subject surprises me.

You think the calls, or lack thereof, this past weekend AT HOME were bad? Wait til we travel to Tuscaloosa. Gonna take a monumental effort to beat two teams next week. CJH needs to be more aggressive with the officials IMO to at least put a little something in their ears to think about.
The officiating was poor, but the bad calls and no calls went both ways. The zebras aren't against us, they just aren't very good at their jobs. They're like the weather and poor field conditions, both teams got to deal with them. Our guys need to focus on what they can control which is their effort and execution and let the stuff they can't control like the wind and the officials poor execution go. JMHO
