Won't fall out with anyone on what the biggest hit in Vol baseball history is/was but mid 90s Helton walked off Arizona St I believe in Super Regional but of course at that time about the only CBB games you saw on TV was the CWS.

Also in mid 2000's at Super Regional against GA Tech someone homered in 8th inning to give us lead and eventually send us to Omaha.

Like I said, not going to blame anyone who puts Fergy or Russell's up there.

Great game and great win.

Helton’s grand slam tied the game and sent to extras. Vols lost though

Fitzgerald’s 2005 dinger won game 1 of the super. Vols dominated game 2 the next day to sweep in 2

I believe the 2001 super at ECU was a walk off but I don’t think it was a home run and can’t recall who hit the winner. Stevie maybe

That's what I thought when it came off the bat. The announcers were making a big deal about the short home run distance in RF. Could that have helped it get out? I don't think it was a wall scraper. Did you see how much it cleared the fence, cause I couldn't make it out.

It cleared by as much as the one over the scoreboard did

Did my research. It was Stevie Daniels who hit the big HR against ECU. It. was a grand slam but occurred in the 8th inning. UT scored 5 runs that inning and won 6-3.7CDCF080-CB8A-4C51-803D-E34862DF84AD.jpeg

Right field is homer friendly for sure. Add aluminum bats and it really doesn't take much on certain days. Thank God for BBCOR.

Definitely not wind aided. Wind was pretty non existent most of the day. Only wind was blowing towards left field foul line. A cross wind if you will but never blowing out.
