Everything.

The most important thing we can do this season is look competent on the field and quiet off of it. Maintaining and building on the momentum we have in recruiting is paramount.

Quarterback............is Dobbs or Fergeson going to come in and grab the job? If not can Worley or Peterman run this new offense? Everything else looks good enough to work.

Quarterback, while there's no depth in the secondary, they've got decent starters. There's no clear starter or backup at the QB position.

I believe the O will be fine, especially with a solid O-line to give the QB a little more time to learn in get confident the first 2 games. I think the WR's will surprise us all, solid at RB and the D as a whole will be a big improvemnet, just the front 7 rotations will help the lack of depth at DB. I hope!!

IMO you should have WR and QB together. Im worried with injuries, lack of depth, mixed with a qb battle that a true freshman could win there will not be any qb wr chemistry. In this offense thats a recipe for disaster.

My biggest concern for the team is, the teams total mental toughness. Yeah there are some worries as far as the starting positions, but the mental toughness is everything. Things are going to go wrong in every game and the team as a whole has not responded well the past two years. I want to see a team regardless of who starts, that battles, that shows everyone that regardless of what happens, will punch you in the mouth and make you regret lining up across from them. I saw a little bit of that toughness and hunger from the defense in the spring game. Boise State doesn't always have the best talent, but as a unit they are mentally tough and that is we're victories come from. If Butch can change the overall mental toughness of these kids and he has been preaching it to them, then regardless of who starts where, we are in for a fun ride.

I think as a whole the QB/WR chemistry is over rationalized. Ainge and Schaffer came in as true freshman and lit it up. WR's will follow and play hard for a QB that demands it, regardless of the QB's time on campus.

The quarterback, hands down. He has the power to lose the game for us with one bad decision via a pick 6 or poor pass on 4th and 1 to win the game, etc. The QB isn't dubbed the leader of the team for no reason, and our QB's did NOT impress me this spring. That's not to say they won't light it up this fall, but at this time spring is all we have to judge by.

Not that I hate Worley or Peterman, but I would like to see Dobb or Riley get a good shot. I know high school film isn't everything, but these two can play.

QB is not a concern and neither are Spring Practice performances. If this staff cannot get competent QB play out of the four guys who will be on the roster this fall then they flat out can't coach.

QB and DB are the obvious answers. But I went with D-line. It seems like forever since we've had a D-line that could get pressure up the middle. And even off the edge we've only had spotty success at getting to the QB. I just have a feeling that the system the new coaches put in will help our QB to be successful (whoever he turns out to be). And the DB situation will be helped greatly by improvement on the D-line.

The defense as a whole is my biggest concern. We're not going to have even a shadow of last year's offense to bail them out if they give up 50 a game again.

How many top 50 teams do you see with a true freshman at QB? Right. If one of the newbies ends up taking over the season as a whole is already dead and buried. You have a junior with a few starts and a RS freshman that will be running the show. This position is a legitimate concern.

Playing a lot of zone, which they will be doing, will mitigate some of the coverage issues in the secondary as well as helping set the edge on the run.

WR needs some guys to step up. Until the WR's are on the same page with the QB and start holding onto the ball better, WR concerns are real. I am expecting Carter and a TE to be the go to guys for moving the sticks.

I would put the chances of starting right now at Worley 70%, Peterman 25%, and Dobbs 5%. Just judging from what appears to be his best HS video, Riley is nowhere close to having the arm needed to play in the SEC.

I think Dobbs only plays if Worley gets injured and Peterman is horrible. He also doesn't quite have the arm strength right now but makes up for it by being smarter and a little more mobile.

I think Worley will be the starter and do fine. He will be more of a game manager than a guy who can make big plays like Bray... but Bray wasn't much of a winner at UT.

I think the battle for the future is between Dobbs and Peterman. I suspect that Ferguson will transfer to a lower level school.
