Thanks for the summary. Not to be telling you what you should do or anything but I'm hoping you were attempting to get autographs for your kid, or you are a kid yourself. Adults don't need kids autographs Imo. An hour is probably plenty of time designated for the players to sign autographs. Personally, if there was a player, or anyone else I respected, I encountered I'd prefer a handshake. Or at very most a picture.

Grown men on this site don't need an overseer, but if there's an opening I'm sure someone will give you a call. Thank goodness for the ignore button.

Offensive line issues are a direct result of losing all of our starters from last year. I think they'll be fine by camp.

1. Fans waiting in line for autographs. I personally got the linebackers autographs within the first 10 minutes, then spent 50 minutes in line for the wide receivers and didn't get them. I understand they can't sign autographs forever, but either extend the fan day time (currently at 60 minutes) or shorten the amount of fans they let in.

Yesterday was my first time at an o&w game and my thinking was the same. My thoughts were move the fan day to the sports complex give tours and have the players on the indoor field. You can schedule tours and at the end meet the players. Make it most of the morning. Scheduling would keep it more organized and you could control the amount of fans there at one time. This could also be done at Neyland, I'm not sure how far the practice facility is from Neyland just thought that would be a neat thing to tour. Definitely agree the fan day should be longer or let the players visit the line outside like the qbs did.

I know you were impressed by Dobbs. I like Dobbs along with the others too.

But I have asked several times and as far as anyone has reported, Dobbs played against the 2nd D only. He outperformed Peterson in that role. Worley and Ferguson played against the first O with Worley clearly the better performer.

The winner there... is Worley. He had a better completion % than Dobbs against better competition and also had a big run.

I think Dobbs is a gamer and can create. He can give the O things that Ferguson can't. But right now they are all chasing Worley.

This is true. Also, Peterman scored against the first team D and seemed to be pretty comfortable moving the ball around. Dobbs did some good things, but having Malone will do that for you. But overall Worley looked the most competent running the offense.

None of the QBs were terrible. I was impressed by Worley's improvement over last year and Dobb's performance against the second team defense. Even Worley's impressive day against the one defense leaves me wondering how good or bad the defense is. I know the second team D is terrible. When Worley made his long run, he ran by Reeves-Maybin who couldn't make up ground on Worley. Not good. Of course neither AJ nor Maggitt played much and Randolph and Saulsberry were out. The defensive depth will be depend on freshmen which is a real concern.

I have no problem getting autographs. I'm proud of our guys and I want them to know we value them. For a college kid, signing autographs says "they really appreciate me." Not to mention it is a huge recruiting tool. When I was 18 I signed autographs for basketball and I felt like a champion. As I asked Dillon Bates for his autograph I welcomed him to VolNation and his dad was standing there. You could tell Bill was both proud and excited for his son to be walking in his footsteps.

I think he is trying to say let the kids get the autograph since there is limited time. Obviously there is plenty of people asking for autographs to let them know how special being a university of Tennessee football player is. I would hate to think I took away an opportunity for a kid to meet his favorite player.

He ran by McNeil (who missed the tackle). JRM and Justin Coleman ran him down from behind (though by the time Coleman caught up JRM was out of steam- Worley probably had a five yard jump on him). JRM had a long way to go on that play too because he stunted inside (it seemed to be an all out blitz for the defense: the end looped around behind the DT-O'brien- who didn't keep contain on the outside.

Worth noting is that Coleman blitzed from the backside and still managed to run down Worley despite maybe a 10-15 yard jump by Worley. It was really a hell of an effort by
Coleman to save the TD. I think he'll do a lot better for us in the nickel this season. Run support has always been one of his stronger suits.

1) I haven't asked anyone for an autograph since I was a teenager.

2) I have never had the audacity to tell another human being whether or not he should ask for an autograph. It is none of my business.

Its tough when you play against yourself. If your defense rules the day then youre like "well the O needs work" and with this year its vice versa. At this point im glad to see we have some playmakers on offense. Its going to be a challenge for any secondary we play this year to cover all those guys.

Not sure whether I should commend you for having a great avatar or to tell you to stop bogarting mine.

1st Team D after the 1st 5 minutes was really 2nd team D and 2nd team D was more like 3rd Team D, getting good film on players was the plan for today. We all know we have a huge D group coming in mid summer and the coaches needed good film on what they have currently...and how the new D will fit in, so for the players that has been here all spring didnt make a move forward...good chance they will red shirt because the new recruits coming in are studs...

It is a myth that Worley is slow and especially from a running start.

JRM CAN run.

Fr will have to provide depth. But that is more "normal" than you might imagine. USCe was 5th in the SEC in total D last fall. They depended heavily on RS and true Fr for depth.

The key is finding Fr that are physically ready then having a good enough returning group to be able to "feed" them in bites they can chew and swallow. UT seems to have that.

IMO, the D really comes down to Saulsberry's return and level of play if he does. DT is a big problem if he doesn't.

I'm not sure why everyone is bashing Ferguson...I thought he had some impressive drives and made some very impressive throws.

Dobbs looked much better throwing the ball than last year. May have been 2nd string, but his touch and accuracy was top notch. He has some good looking throws.

Does anyone have any take on the kicking game? Have not seen any comments yet.

The kid that broke his leg last year .. Bullock. Had decent game via Jones. Brodus is decent.

Gotta wait for Medley to get here for us to really know.

IMO - Medley starts at K day one of season.

Matt Darr will be the punter. Progressed a lot in Spring.

I've been on the Dobbs train through this whole Ferguson love fest.. Kid is a playmaker with the ball in his hands.

This offense needs a Dobbs type playmaker at QB. Able to extend plays and he's got a nice arm / extremely accurate at times.

This is a Worley - Dobbs race as of now.

I am with you. Ferguson held the ball too long several times, twice leading to him taking big hits and one fumble. He also threw an interception and several balls that were off target. IMO, Peterman looked bad. He threw several off target balls.

Worley had the best arm, Dobbs arm didn't look worse really, but he made some poor decisions trying to throw into coverage. However, Dobbs adds a lot with his mobility.

What scares me is that Worley had such a big run and our D barely caught him. Good run by Worley, he seems to try to keep it more, but our D is not fast.

Hopefully we get some more speed this summer with the new guys.

Nice job with a classy response regarding a rather rude post. While I would actually lean toward agreeing with his opinion, it is most certainly an opinion, and the delivery was piss poor. Good work.
