Excellent, a very deserved award for this young man. Harrison is no doubt a good receiver and will do well in the pros but this year was Hyatt's year.

Congrats to him! Hate to see him leave early for the league, but his stoke is at it's peak right now. Good luck young man.

He might still be. He's reopening his recruitment, but also says the UT remains among his top choices. He may well turn around and come back.

"A lot to put into consideration," Hyatt said when meeting the media. "I have to talk to my family and the coaching staff. We’re still 50-50 on some things. I’ll have a decision next week for everybody, but as far as (opting out), those are two things I have to weigh in, the receiving record and just playing with the team or leaving. I’m taking the consideration hard with my family and coaches, but we’ll have a decision next week."

Hyatt Picks Up FWAA First Team All-America Acclaim - University of Tennessee Athletics

DALLAS – After becoming the first Biletnikoff Award winner in program history, Tennessee football wide receiver Jalin Hyatt reeled in Football Writers Association of America First Team All-America honors Friday afternoon.

The recognition marks Hyatt's second major All-America honor after being named a Walter Camp First Team All-American last night, shortly following his name was called for the Biletnikoff.

This isn’t getting enough attention but:
1. Biletnikoff Award Winner
2. First-Team All-American
3. All-Time Leader for touchdowns in a single game, touchdowns in a season, and yards in a season (post-Orange Bowl).

By the criteria UT has listed, yes! However, as he shares the number with the GOAT UT WR, Joey Kent, who owns basically every career record for Tennessee, I don’t know if UT will retire it.

I hope they put a WRU display at the Anderson training center. That needs to be a big part of recruiting now that we have a Biletnikoff winner.
