Bill Clinton says Barack Obama must 'kiss my ass' for his support

I find this to be very revealing in regards to the Clinton political machine. The article ends expressing surprise at this behavior. Anyone that has listened to conservative talk radio over the last 15 years isn't all that shocked.

By all accounts (in those conservative circles) the Clintons have both always liked their asses kissed. Good to see it finally catching up with them.

The media is about to turn on them in ways they could never had imagined.

I could see that coming when Obama started to emerge.

i wonder if Powell is doing this because he really believes the garbage Obama is saying, or if he is doing this for other reasons. either way i'm surprised at this. I knw mccain is not a very strong candidate for repub's but obama is way more liberal than most libs.

I think you meant to say Obama is more liberal than most democrats. The problem with the majority of republicans/conservatives on this board is most of them associate being a democrat with being a liberal, which just isn't true.

Powell is a social liberal and will endorse Obama. In fact, Powell is considered a liberal and not a conservative

He really doesn't know. It is a racially influenced statement.

Powell will endorse Obama because he is the best candidate. Plain and simple

Kind of like the racially influenced choices many black politicians and voters have made?

I listed one being that, and the other to seperate himself from George W. as much as possible. Before you go and say what you say please go back and make sure I haven't replied to that.

Both Armstrong Williams and J.C. Watts have reportedly said that they are considering voting for Obama because he is black.

J.C. Watts, Armstrong Williams May Vote for Obama : The Conservative Beacon

This mystifies a lot of Republicans and conservatives, I am sure, because they retort that if they said they were voting for McCain because he's white, they'd be villified.

But its different. There's never been a black nominee of a major party before and Obama has a real chance to win. That possibility trascends every issue out there -- it is a moment of history for their race that they cannot let pass, regardless of whatever other issues are out there. Obama is going to win 99.999% of the African-American vote.

And I think that is something the rest of us probably cannot relate to in any way shape or form. Its not like voting for the guy 'cause he's from your home state. Its Earth-shattering momentous for them and if the Republicans make an issue of it they will set their party back in the African-American community for 30 years.

Joe Gibbs is actually developing a driver who is African American. I think he might be driving in the Nationwide series next year. Plus there are several who are a part of pit crews. I use to think Nascar was just an all white thing. I nvr really followed it, then i went to talladega and was shocked, because while yes you had your idiot rednecks making a fool of themselves, there were people of all ethnic backgrounds there.

ARE THERE ANY BLACKS IN NASCAR?

there was some black drivers in the 60's and 70's that were very popular and were well respected among the other drivers. i forget the name, but they were talking about them on a nascar sports talk show.
