Bill Stewart reportedly out at West Virginia

How did Rich Rod leaving actually set them back?

That by itself doesn't really mean anything.

The players responded well in his firs bowl game after Rod left. The players were pissed. The cameras at the bowl game showed that he was close to the players. I remember their fullback having a good game It does not have to mean anything to you.

That Fiesta Bowl was a feel good story that didn't deserve a chance at a sequel.

Stewart is a great person, but a poor coach. As mentioned before, he had never won prior to West Virginia and inherited a good situation there and has been average.

Apparently we have lowered the bar on being a great person when it includes a man who attempted to enlist a reporter in digging up dirt on his potential successor.

Let's face it, if he doesn't win that bowl game he's never head coach to begin with.

A great person tries to use some personal relationships with media to find dirt on his replacement in waiting?

If West Virginia really wanted to right the ship, they'd now fire Holgorsen for being a public spectacle and bring Rich Rod back.

West Virginia will always be mediocre at best. They'll rule the Big East as long as Pitt doesn't take college football serious, and when they move to another conference they'll become middle of the pack to bottom feeder.
