steroids - cheap owners and a poor farm system

Giambi and potentially Tejada taking steroids aren’t any part of the problem. The excellent farm system kept them afloat and fine for over 15 years. The cheapskate owner though is a POS and has zero care about the fans or paying to keep quality players

Canseco and McGuire started the downfall with the steroids -- Odd thing about all this is the Rays are cheap too, but somehow manage to win with the farm system every year despite losing players the same way

Canseco and McGwire was 33 years ago. Good grief, that’s ancient and has less than zero to do with anything this century. Oakland played the Rays game for over a decade before the Rays started making noise in the regular season. And just like Oakland, the Rays have absolutely nothing to show for their efforts in the postseason. The A’s won the division in ‘00, ‘02, ‘03, ‘06, ‘12, ‘13, and ‘20. They were a wild card team ‘01, ‘14, ‘18, and ‘19. But again, they’re cheap and can’t win in the postseason just like Rays are doing now.

Braves best in baseball. Matt Olson 1 HR away from tying Andrew Jones single season franchise record...on its way

This kind of talk isn’t allowed in my baseball thread. Braves talk gotta go somewhere else…

(And I’m not putting this in blue font, but if you actually need it in blue font to get that this is a joke, well, God bless you)
