If the Cardinals left STL I would ball up in the corner and sob for days.

Also had house door hanging card holders (like closet) with every raines and RH cards up probably 96ish, special editiond and auto from raines too


Im a huge Reds fan. I will always be that, but I liked Boog, Campy, Rudi, Raines, Rickey=a lot of non-Reds

He is the greatest leadoff hitter of all time. I am not a fan.

He broke the records of my all time favorite, who was full of class.

Plus my aunt and uncle were in Akron. Huge Tribe fans. Wed go up there and catch 5-6 tribe games over a 2-week time.

I watched a lot of games at Municipal.

I think Cincy is a great BB town.
I saw an NLCS game there mid 90s and my wife and I had such fun in that city that day. I will have that memory forever.

I did see the Big Red Machine play a few times both in St. Louis and Cincy.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned, quite a few of those players are among my favorites. A very cool thing for me was when I walked from a fund raising party in San Francisco to a theatre with Joe Morgan. He was one of my all time non Cardinal favs.

The ‘75 series is also a vivid memory for me. A good friend of mine from when I lived in WY, her father was on that team and Rose was her godfather. She did not have a good relationship with her Dad unfortunately.

The A’s always had a great group of players that I gravitated to back in the day when I played baseball. Sure does bring back good memories. Eckersley was my favorite but Rickey was a legend.

Got to see him up close when he got demoted to Rookie League. He had absolute filthy nasty stuff while in JC then lost it again. And dude could absolutely rake. Glad he found a second career as an outfielder
