Wonder if that hurts FL with Elam since he was given credit with recruiting him. I know his relationship is with Urbie, but his DC is gone and now one of his recruiters are out and some of our recruits were lookin because of our coaches are leaving. He was already looking around to some extent. Just thinking out loud lol.

No. Meyer and Elam have known each other since his days at ND.

Not Mike Slive but a named mentioned is Mike...

When Wilson left, I said we should throw tons of money to him, oh well.... Looks like he weights the title of "passing-game coordinator" more than just money......

It was that and I believe Meyer told him he would not be the OC at UF. The next UF DC and OC are not currently on the staff IMO.

Apparently UF offered Nix but Nutt countered.

The gator boards are really struggling right now. BG gone, right before a big recruiting weekend, Strong getting a HC position, lots of rumors about division within the team before the FSU game and coming to a head in the locker room before the start of the Bama game...

The rumor is that Meyer is cleaning house.

Of course, these are all message board rumors, so who really knows what is going on.

Of course, in all of this, UF still got a commitment from Cody Riggs, so I guess the world isn't completely ending, but there is some craziness going on behind closed doors in Gainesville right now.

I think the OC people are talking about is Mike Sanford.

LSU is making some great moves this season. They realized that being stagnant when every else around them is getting better would really hurt in the long run. What killed Tennessee after the NC and is hurting UGA right now too (they sure need to make a big higher).

I'd say FSU and LSU are going to be on the uprise in recruiting with their new additions to the coaching staff, and in a hurry. You can already see it with FSU getting Luc and possibly Elam. LSU won't be far behind on talent from the state of Florida with Gonzalez coming over.

Both of those things mean Florida is inevitably going to take a hit in recruiting, especially coming off the crying loss to Bama. Will be interesting to see who CUM brings in to replace Charlie Strong and Gonzalez. I'm not sure how much experience he has making outside hires (Gonzalez had been with him since Bowling Green, and Charlie Strong was already at Florida). Certainly that program would sell itself to most coaches just as it does recruits, but if people don't want to work with CUM then they may be hard pressed to find an equal caliber of coaching as they are losing.

sorry for the semi long post, I just find the SEC coaching carousel fun to examine.
