Just had a glass of Arizone Sweet Tea... it's rubbish, but it's all we have up here.

I was in the same situation as you when I moved to North Dakota. I refused to drink that Arizona garbage, so I started making it myself. It's really easy and it takes less than half an hour to make a gallon.

Make your own. I always have a gallon

I don't drink it often enough, nor do I have the fridge space to keep it cold. My sugar intake needs to stay low, too.

Go with the extra calories. Splenda screws with your insulin production.

I also read somewhere that it really isn't 0 calories, rather it has almost as many calories as sugar.

Calories are units of energy, and splenda technically has none. It's not better for you than sugar, though.

Just went back and read the article... turns out the math was done wrong. 3.4 calories per gram of Splenda, but it takes a lot less Splenda than sugar to sweeten. They were comparing it just straight gram to gram, which comes out to 3.4 Splenda : 3.9 Sugar.
