Good point, the scenario I described shouldn't apply in overtime. Once USF gained possession the game was over.

I'm not sure of that. I mean do the rules specify change of possession if one team has converted and the other not? This seems like a crazy thing to have covered in the rules, not saying its not possible.

I'm honestly not sure either. I think what I said before was correct, however, I would need to read the rules to be certain. I've never seen something like that in overtime.

Dang it looked like I missed a great ending. I fell asleep when I thought USF would run away with it....that will teach me to stay up all night binge watching Stranger Things :)
