Bishop/Seldon injury question

He's got rushing stats for the Alabama and UTC games according to ESPN. I don't know about special teams because I also get him confused with Boo, but I trust you that he returned a kick against Arkansas. If he has appeared in more than 4 games already then everyone doubting his commitment to the program needs to stop. That would be a clear indication that he is legitimately injured. But if he's legitimately injured it wouldn't make sense to put him on kickoff return - so I lean toward most of the #23 sightings on special teams being Boo.
UT Sports site has him listed as playing in 4 games. One kick return against Bama and one kick return against Arkansas:

I've defended Seldon for months, but it's getting increasingly difficult to ignore the idea that he may be trying to avoid using a year of eligibility before hitting the portal. That seems stupid to me, because he's in position to be a household name by this time next year, but he's the one who practices with the team. He knows whether or not he's better than Bishop and Lewis.
Fans need to accept the reality that kids will do just that in the era of the transfer portal. Frankly, I think we have a large number of transfers out this year. RB, WR, and OL being most likely.

I honestly believe Cam should be switched outside next year. Not sure the Rb position is gonna work out with the shoulder issues. Then again he may transfer. Plove really hasn't said much lately other than liking a comment. I really doubt he cares for all the comments about his nephew when no one really knows. Either way I wish the Young man the best but I really hope he stays.
He was recruited as an athlete and my understanding is that he played receiver and LB/DB in high school so RB is new to him. He might thrive as a slot receiver in our offense. Hope he stays - he’s got a lot to offer.

First, Bishop is out, again. A shame. MSN

Second, I'm the Keith guy, the season isn't done yet. Sampson makes it difficult for Keith and others to see serious time. But if he's given a chance, having a big back will pay off. Sampson is having an All-American season, You don't shut your horse in the stable when it's the best of the herd and the haulers. :p
But PLew and Cam are also infront of him. I guess Keith is either slow or doesn't pass block well.

PLew is big for someone who is supposed to be so fast but I haven't seen him run strong or fast yet.

I guess Sampson is just spoiled us. Bishop has been the 2nd best that I have seen.

Transfers coming. Soon!

We could get a transfer that would be more for depth but I don't see us getting a high profile transfer. Next year will be a combination of Bishop, Lewis and Seldon, assuming they all stay. If one of them (most likely would be Seldon) leaves then it definitely increases the need. We have Dylan Lewis and Justin Baker coming in the next class and while neither are "highly" rated, we seem to have a good eye for finding good RBs.

Dylan Lewis is a CB.

Peyton Lewis is going to be good.

I have a feeling that Cam is going to Transfer and probably Keith also.

Welp…so much for Seldon redshirting.
Yeah. Unfortunate way to lose the redshirt but when 2 guys ahead of you get banged up it is what it is.

I’m as surprised as anyone else but Lewis and Bishop have both looked better. I hope he continues to get opportunities. Especially after losing the redshirt.

Did you see Lewis truck that safety last night? I thought that was strong running

Clearly Sampson is dinged up somewhat. Is there any update on Bishop’s “lower body injury” as he’s needed badly. To me, Bishop is about 80-90% as effective as Sampson with the other RB’s a significant drop off from there. Sure hope Bishop is back for Georgia as we might need to run the 12 formation power football depending on the health of our QB.

Dude's just a casualty.

Lot of potential, but shoulder surgeries are not a quick recovery. I've had two. He's getting behind.
The same surgeon did his shoulder that did mine. Almost a year and still hurts when I sleep on that side. but I’m old, the other shoulder was repaired in 2010 and recovery went fine. Of course that was 14 years ago.

Yeah. Hoping he sticks around. We needed him last night. Thought he looked pretty good.

He missed an inside cut he should have made on his 2nd carry or so and bounced outside instead, but that’s an example of how he’s still learning the RB position. He looked really good and decisive on his last carry.

I hope he sticks around too. And stays healthy. He could be good when he understands the position.
