Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency, and the Future of Global Finance

Because what I have in this asset class is for long term. I need liquidity for future entry points and other things. I wont do short term because its less profitable at the end of the day.

It is big and certain though, you really should think about liquidating some things and going in deeper.

I never mentioned short term, btw, and it has nothing to do with my original question.

You seem to have bought in, hook, line and sinker. I remember when the dot coms of all sorts were in fashion 20+ years ago when they had no intrinsic value other than 3 guys in a basement writing code. To me I want to see something worth investing money in. When they have no assets, no holdings, no income and are essentially a vaporware product, they hold no value.

All the people who understand the tech are idiots and you are the smart one.

I re evaluate the situation all the time.

Find me one person who truly understands the tech inside and out and says there is no value. Just one person. Please. Pretty, pretty please.
I'm all ears. Why does there need to be people that understand "tech" to find the value in vaporware? I'm actually pretty tech savvy, explain it to me in an engineering term that can make me understand why these faux currencies are worth money?

There are parallels, but remember .com commerce eventually did materialized. Amazon is now the biggest company in the world.

Yes it did. How many vaporware companies that produced nothing went by the way side. Amazon actually had a business and sold something. These vaporware coin companies offer nothing.

There are 10000 coins in the asset class and 90+ percent disappear in regulation etc. It is a vicious cycle of events and the best will survive, that is why free markets thrive competition pushes people to create better products. Invest wisely.

Think whatever you want dude. I know that my money is safe and yours is on the roulette wheel.

I agree many of these coins are going to end up at $0, but I think some will survive, just like the early internet companies.

His argument is basically a 2021 revival "the internet is a fad you guys are morons".
Tell me which Internet companies make money? Does any vaporware coin make any money? If our economy is at a point where a company that doesn't make any money is worth $Billions we have lost our way.
