Since this stuff is 'secure' and only exists in peoples' 'wallets', aren't ETFs that trade on it similar to CDSs in that you don't actually have any vested interest in the stuff, but are playing the movement of it?As I have said, I am waiting for the inverse ETF to show up.

SWIL is doing well with it (apparently) but I will bet far more people are going to be jumping out of windows at some point.
I'll stick to trading AAPL and AMZN.
Bitcoin has no ties to anything physical however. I really don't know. I am just axing the question. I have been trying to find information on what the hell a blockchain is, and how it is 'secure' and I can only find a bunch of mumbo jumbo that 'guarantees' it is secure. That right there is enough to keep me away from it.Well, I invest in silver via SLV, an ETF which physically holds or has rights to I believe $4 billion of it.
If it's an x times ETF, I would assume they have contracts to buy/sell.
Thoughts on Ripple? I bought a couple hundred about a month ago for .45 each and it surged to over $3, but CoinBase said they weren't adding it which caused the price to crash a bit. I'm probably going to buy more tonight when the price drops a bit more, and take a wait and see approach.
Where do you buy It? I want some but am on coinbase and can't get it, as you said.
Tried registering on Bitstamp and Kraken this week but both seem backlogged from here to eternity.
