Am I reading this wrong: "These individuals will be back,” Jones said. “We fully anticipate them being back.”

Seems like the MRI may be precautionary. Great news if so... we need Corey to spend the year developing.

Good they take pre-caution for the players, although he will be out for some practices.

Injuries happen to every team. Don't know why, but it seems to me the better teams seem to usually get them in practice, while the weaker teams get them in games.

Next man has to step up, and it looks like the trainers and medical staff are gonna earn their pay.

Lack of quality depth will do that to any team / fanbase :jpshakehead::jpshakehead:

No, we need him contributing quite a bit.

Not reading it wrong, but "back" is somewhat relative. We know that neither Vereen nor Jacques have serious injuries, and will be back at some point. I don't think Coach Jones is indicating that either of these players won't miss any practice time, or in Jac's case at least, the first game or two.

I saw Corey Vereen play 3-4 times live in high school. I never saw him dominate a game, but he is a solid player. However, I am mildly pleasantly surprised that he's been so impressive in Knoxville. Kids blossom at different times. Hopefully, he will be a great one by the time he graduates with a UT degree.

wonder what they actually did to it. 5 weeks just seems a bit long. Maybe CBJ will clarify
