Black Friday Deals...

I use blackfriday.gottadeal.com and they have full ads posted for most of the major stores. Also, they broke the news just an hour or so ago that many of the big retailers will have Black Friday sales going live TONIGHT - said to check back around 11:00 PM EST. They have an online tracker that shows exactly what's active right now and on sale. I'm going to prowl and see if I can get a decent HDTV for my den at my new house for around $200-$250. I'd LOVE to see that $199 42" HDTV that Best Buy is having as a doorbuster on Friday show up online tonight. I doubt it seriously but I'm going to be lurking to see if it may go live tonight.

Yeah, I saw that earlier! I'm still debating if I'll go out and fight the crowd. I don't really know much about tv's so I'd like to research a while.. but my 32'' Samsung lcd tv just died a couple days ago so I'm in need of one.

I'd like to get the $150 Xbox Kinnect but I ain't working for it.

In line for this now. Contemplating pulling out my gun and offing myself.

My wife and sister wanted to do an all night shopping spree and I didn't want them out by themselves. Looks like I'm pulling an all nighter.

The HD TVs all seem to be 60 Hz. To me, that isn't worth it. If you are going to watch sports or a lot of fast moving action you need 120 Hz or higher.

Best Buy line around here is already around the building. Forget that. I'll see what I can get online on Monday.

+1. The news just showed a Best Buy here and they counted 468 people before they came on the air. Crazy...

I just drove by our Best Buy and Toys R Us to see what the lines looked like, both of them we're 3-4 wide on the sidewalk and at least 150 feet long..

Just kept driving...Came home and ordered the 51 inch Samsung Plasma from Best Buy on line....Free Shipping and it gets delivered next Thursday...

The Toys R Us forget it, my wife saw that two of the Toys she had already bought were cheaper, but it's not worth the $27 bucks we would have saved between the two to wait in that line...and they opened at 9:00, and there was still that many people standing outside...

I usually make fun of the people who go to these sales but this was my first time attending a Black Friday sale and that's only because...

#1.) My small town only has a Wal-Mart Supercenter and #2) Wal-Mart started there sales at 10PM for what I was interested in and that was Blu-ray movies.

I got there around 9:00 and they already had stuff out and a few things already looked cleaned out but you couldn't checkout with it until 10:00. I however was out and on my way home by 10:30 its actually the first time I have seen every register open at our Wal-Mart.

I picked up the following DVD TV Season Sets for $10.00

Planet Earth (5-Disc Set)

The Big Bang Theory (Seasons 1-4) Just recently got into this show through syndication and absolutely love it but if your not into Sci-Fi or pop-culture then a lot of the jokes etc.. are probably lost on you.

Stargate Atlantis (Seasons 2, 3, 4) This was the surprise find for me as I hadn't seen that this was going to be available as a Black Friday item!

The $5.00 Blu-ray movies I picked up were.

X-Men
X2 United
X-Men The Last Stand
The Dark Knight
Independence Day
Platoon
Quantum of Solace
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
