Bleacher Report- Vols on Life Support

The standard protocol when someone disagrees is to attack the messenger. This is really just making sure the Vols don't cut any slack knowing they have to keep winning to insure a NCAA berth! So to show how clueless the attackers are, here is the resume.

"Jake Curtis is a Princeton University graduate who has written about sports all his life. He worked as a reporter and columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle sports department for 27 years, serving as the beat writer for Stanford men's basketball, Stanford football, Cal men's basketball, Cal football and the Golden State Warriors at one time or another. He has covered nearly everything from the NBA Finals, the NCAA Final Four, BCS national championship game, Rose Bowl and the World Cup. Jake currently writes a weekly college basketball column for the San Francisco Chronicle during the winter and a weekly college football column for the Chronicle during the fall. He also writes capsules on all 68 NCAA Tournament teams that appear in the Chronicle the day the field is announced. Jake also covers college football and basketball games for The Sports Xchange. Jake grew up in eastern Pennsylvania, but has spent most of his adult life in the San Francisco Bay Area. He currently lives in Berkeley, Calif." :hi:

Not one thing you posted proves this guy knows what he is talking about. Someone even pointed out he couldn't even keep his scenarios straight.

It's not about disagreeing, it's about the Bleacher Report having zero credibility. Do you think people "attack" TMZ just because they disagree with it, or is it because it's a trash "journalism" organization?

He is a guest columnist. To imply that someone who each year writes the capsules for each team that makes the NCAA tournament is not qualified to give his opinion is ludicrous! If we lose to Missouri, we are out. If we lose to If we lose to anyone other than Kentucky or Florida in the tournament we are probably out.

He didn't mention the 1-3-1, and how we wouldn't be in survival mode if we would've used it more, therefore he's clueless.
You'll be headed to the NIT if it's not used. Wait and see!
I think the teams the rest of the way might be a little tougher than Mississippi State and Auburn and Vanderbilt. By the way, since you joined this forum halfway through Cuonzo's first season and have been tooting his efficiency ever since, which assistant are you? Got enough guts to tell us? Do you get paid for this?

Chris Rock

And it was my idea to implement a 1-3-1 to start with

Uh. UT has a chance at a 3 seed. I mean, I know we are on the bubble, but life support is strong and this author has no clue what he's talking about.

Bleacher Report in a nut shell.

A middle-school student would be ashamed to write for BR. Where do they find these experts they use?

BR is on life support

Bleacher Report just happens to be maybe the most comprehensive sports site available. If any of you basketball people follow Tennessee football, it probably does more excellent reporting on our football program than all the other sources combined. There is usually a daily e-mail sent out with comprehensive Vol coverage.

Most of the year-end conference tourneys are an absolute joke--a transparent excuse to make money. Nobody cares about them except teams that are out of the tourney and want to get in. The best teams, who know they are in the tournament, don't care. This is one big reason why there are upsets. At a minimum the Vols need to win the next two games--and probably too play competitive against florida or kentucky. We're not going to beat either of those teams, IMO, so our fate will rest in getting that far. We are in a weak conference and have ONE good win: that will many times get you a slap from the selection committee. Most NCAA teams have more than 1 good win.
