Blu ray movie question

Maybe it's just a bad angle but it looks like your mattress is just sitting on the floor. A frame and a box spring would do wonders.

If your TV is okay a wall mount with swivel and tilt should solve your problem. I have bought a couple from Amazon.com. they have far better prices on good quality mounts than any box store.

Well yes and no its my understanding its the same technology as any standard HD TV just curved.

If you need a new TV get a good deal on a current HD set around $600-700 unless you win the lottery. My suggestion is start saving your money for another couple of years until the Ultra HD 4K sets have started to come down in price.

There supposed to start coming out by summer and UHD 4K Blu-ray players are set to be released sometime by Christmas.

I'm hoping my TV will make it another 2 and half years and I'm actually thinking of going ahead and getting a new BR disc player since your standard Blu-ray players can now be found for under $30.

4k is a bit of a gimmick right now too. No one is broadcasting in 4k and between equipment upgrades and signal bandwidth it's doubtful that they will for several more years. Heck, most stations are still broadcasting 720p.

It might make a difference for movies but that will be niche at first. Most people just upgraded to Blu-Ray within the last 3 years. Average consumers will be hesitant to upgrade again so soon.

You make some valid arguments against 4k. I only just learned about it earlier last year.

I made the mistake of jumping on the 3d bandwagon too early. 2 years later and still hardly any content to speak of outside movies.

Won't do the same with 4k. I do think it will replace HDTV, but I'm waiting until that starts to happen so prices will go down

So I got a blu ray for Christmas,I watched step brothers and when I laid down it was like the movie was dark you couldn't see the characters face so I had to basically stand to watch the movie I thought it was just that movie, then I watched Freddy vs Jason and it did the same thing when I laid down,I've came to the conclusion it must be a setting on my tv,any clue or ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance

Most of your settings on your TV outside of color/contrast type things are just BS. A lot of times there is some "enhanced black" or what not that you shouldnt use. I would suggest looking up online how to tune your specific tv for optimal picture. You can have a pro do it but there are plenty of guides out there that show you how to set most of it up yourself.
