I'm glad to inform those interested that a VN member and I will be meeting up this Sunday. After speaking with him, I feel he and his family (and 10acres), are a great fit for Pearl. I take great comfort in knowing that Pearl will be in a loving Volunteer home in the heart of Bulldog country.
I've never given up on something or someone in my life. So in a lot of ways giving Pearl up is thuroughly disappointing. For all intensive purposes she is my dream dog. However, on the opposite side of the coin it has taken a lot courage to accept what needed to be done.
I appreciate the support and kind words from my VN family. I especially appreciate those that have reached out to help Pearl.

We got Pearl Sunday and she is more beautiful than I imagined. She is adjusting to her new surroundings nicely and is one heckuva cat chaser (those cats needed taken down a peg or two). We are very thankful and blessed to have been able to help out BlueTick Vol and his family. He is a very nice and stand-up guy and I could tell how anguished he was parting with her. I hope he can take solace in the knowledge that her new home and family love her very much (and are fellow die-hard Vol fans).
