I’m looking for a bluetick pup. I’m not looking to spend a grand on one but would be willing to spend a couple hundred on one that I like. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone that raises them in the Knoxville area?

Your chances to buy a bluetick pup for less than a grand is very, very, very slim.

I've been interested in finding one myself.. but will probably end up getting another golden retriever.

Should be able to buy one for $300 all day long with papers.
Look up the UKC contact inside the Tri Cities and Kodak Coon clubs.
They should know someone who raises Blueticks.

My dad has one, he paid around that price. He hunts, and got his in Kentucky.

I've seen them on craigslist for 150-500 bucks but they're all gone. It doesn't have to be a championship hunter bloodline because it will be nothing but a pet to us.

Blue heelers are great dogs. since I was a kid and started watching the Vols i've wanted a bluetick. Dad never let me have one because 'all they do is bark at everything". I just purchased my first house so now I can finally have one.

Good way to make friends with the new neighbors. People on our street have two coon dogs and if a fire truck goes by they're wound up for half an hour. And if the fire truck gets the coyotes going, it's an all night bay fest.

Hound dogs bark like there is no tomorrow. My next door neighbors, who I think the world of, have had two beagles that barked at anything including their shadows until they died of old age. They have since replaced them with two rescue hound dogs that are even worse.
