That's what we have!

My Walker hound and Redbone both passed this year. I want to get my 2 year old son a Bluetick hound but I'm leaning more towards the Bluetick Beagle myself.
One of our Loggers raises them.
Good looking dog you have there.

I'm sure I'll get judged by some for this but I named him Smokey lol. That has been my dream since I was a kid, to have a bluetick named Smokey.

Ain't a damn thing wrong with that.

Genuinely happy for you both.

Welcome to the Vol Family Smokey!

Thanks. We get asked if he is Smokey often or asked what kind of dog he is, most have not seen a blue tick beagle before. We just happened upon him on a craigslist ad and got him immediately. He's great for us since he can go for long hikes and enjoys it. Loves to snuggle and be near us, such a sweetheart. The only thing I wish is that he would be friendlier to other people, not that he is unfriendly, but he just stands there as if he is saying "okay another person wanting to say hi, let's get this overwith."

I might need to keep this in mind for when I decide to get one

Another night down and he's still doing great. He got pretty wild during the eclipse yesterday. He was wore out after that so he slept good.
