Bo Wallace goes scorched earth on Hugh Freeze

Bo's getting blasted for saying the exact opposite about him a year ago. Just scroll through the comments.
Dude is always doing something stupid. Was it not that long ago he got into a twitter fight with a coffee house? Sounds like he wanted Freeze to send him a coaching lifeline and Freeze wouldn’t do it so now he’s put him on blast. Makes you wonder if Freeze knew what he was doing by not offering him a coaching job.

I remember when Ainge came out and said he had drug problem too and it started in college because of his shoulder injury but I don’t remember him blasting Fulmer about it.

Anyone remember Chuck Smith calling a news conference right in front of Neyland stadium and blasting Dooley? Coaching opportunities dried up right after that!

The amount of Freeze apologists on Volnation is head scratching.

I don’t ever see our fans sticking up for Drink, Beamer, or Sun Belt Billy, but say a bad thing about Freeze and they will defend him like Mike Price defending his recruiting passed from a private viewing booth in the strip club. Dude should be about as upstanding as the lady from the Blindside.

No one overlooks your faults when you lose.
Freeze is dead man walking if he doesn't right that ship next season.

It's because Freeze beat Bama a couple of times at a time that UT could barely dream of doing it. So some posters on here made him out to be the next Vince Lombardi.

Freeze is a classic grifter. he has all the same qualities as a politician, a mega church pastor, or a used car salesman. Idiots absolutely love those kinds of people.

Which is why I think some here defend him so. The "Gee golly I'm a good 'ol Christian boy" routine works on SO many people it's not even funny. Some people are just really gullible.

While he's right in his criticism of Freeze , he's being a bit of hypocrite about it. Sounds like a politician.

If you listen to Bo Wallace on the Mississippi podcast last night, he explains that those two aren't mutally exclusive. He said Freeze was a great playcaller and culture builder when it comes to getting a team to buy in. However, he also said that doesn't preclude him from being a hypocrite and a narcissist.

Another Vol fan defending the Auburn coach. There are plenty of War Eagle forums on the internet. He's their coach, and you think he's telling recruits how wonderful a program we have in Knoxville when talking to David Sanders or some other recruit that is committed to us? The guy is a snake oil salesman.

I can tell you this, if I was an AD I would lose my job if I was told to hire him as my coach. I believe he is a disgrace to the coaching community and to football. I hope he never wins another football game.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. You never know if you're going to get "Good Bo" or "Bad Bo."

He didn't defend him. He brought a legitimate point to the conversation.

Why are those of you calling posters who are not negating Freeze, “apologist”?

I’ve searched the interweb and have listened to several podcasts and internet videos Wallace has been on and every single one he’s blowing smoke up Freeze’s a$$! Every. Single. One.! Add in all of his tweets and he’s done the same exact thing.

If you actually read his long tweet and watch last nights podcast, it’s evident he’s extremely PO’d that he is only coaching high school and not college or something better. Reading how he has a younger brother involved with Iowa’s football program and it makes you wonder if he is just lashing out at Freeze to blame someone other than himself for not doing better.

I’m no Freeze apologist either. I just heard a guy who’s 32 years old cuss on a live podcast while doing a 180 and blast a coach who gave him a chance. Now, he stated how Freeze threw him under the bus but I specifically remember Freeze defending him at halftime of that Sugar Bowl against TCU.
