Freeze is a classic grifter. he has all the same qualities as a politician, a mega church pastor, or a used car salesman. Idiots absolutely love those kinds of people.

Anybody who, especially in an unsolicited fashion, talks as much as he does about what a great (insert positive attribute) they are is almost 100% FOS. And I never cease to be amazed at how many people fall for it. There haven't been personal indiscretions discovered about him, and I am absolutely not suggesting that there are, but Dabo does the exact same thing.

In Freeze's case it's about what a great Christian he is, but you can apply it to anything people say about themselves (how hard they work, how smart they are, how important they are, how rich they are, etc.).

The amount of Freeze apologists on Volnation is head scratching.

I don’t ever see our fans sticking up for Drink, Beamer, or Sun Belt Billy, but say a bad thing about Freeze and they will defend him like Mike Price defending his recruiting passed from a private viewing booth in the strip club. Dude should be about as upstanding as the lady from the Blindside.

I'm not a Freeze apologist. I could not care less if Auburn fired him tomorrow. Honestly, I would probably rather him stay there because he's seems to be helping us out a good bit by keeping Auburn as lower to mid-tier SEC program. But I don't think Bo Wallace is who would go to for information about Hugh Freeze's culture at Auburn. And Bo Wallace has been blowing smoke up Freeze' ass for awhile now so it's pretty odd timing on this.

Maybe the "throwing the QB under the bus" bit it's a fair criticism. But he comes across as a scorned ex-girlfriend.

Bo's getting blasted for saying the exact opposite about him a year ago. Just scroll through the comments.

I see that he called him a top 5 play-caller, which is not the exact opposite of saying he doesn't prepare and develop QB's properly, doesn't care about them, has a lack of accountability, and just cares about money. You can be a great signal caller and be all those other things.

Edit: looks like he called him a culture builder. It is somewhat hypocritical, but I think you can build a good culture and mistreat your QB's.
