We don’t need a cheerleader, but what separates the good from the great are the emotions they put into it. John Ward had it. Even that man’s alpha commercials wanted me to go out and start digging for natural gas.

Bob, on the other hand, is so deadpan and boring. However, what’s interesting about Bob is that he does a much better job with basketball, which I can’t understand because it’s a faster game. It’s almost as if he doesn’t have time to think, so he just gets carried away with the game. I wish he’d do that with football.

This whole Bob thing is no conundrum. He is a GREAT basketball play by play guy. Energy involved motivated on time. Listening to he and Bert is a work of art imo. It’s great.

He was pretty good with Tim Priest in football, the dude beside him this year (no offense) is terrible. Radio is not his calling.

In summary, he’s great at basketball and feeds off the guy next to him. The football guy and he do NOT CLICK.

Exactly. Ron Franklin and Mike Gottlieb was the last guys I could listen to. I pretty much mute everyone else and listen to the Vol Network
