Bob Kesling Retiring

First, let me say Thanks So Very Much for all the memories, I mean that from the bottom of my saffron and white checkered heart sir. I salute you.

I was thinking the game this weekend with the jawja leghumpers is gonna be one of the last "Big Ones" for your calling days. We (you) need a "kill shot" sir. A final verbal dagger if you will. Something that will go down in the annals of SEC broadcasting that may somehow burry once and forever the Larry Munson Hobnail Boot fiasco of 2001. Get ready Bob, you are gonna need it.

For those of not paying attention, Mr. Kesling is hanging up his microphone after this year. Here is an excellent read to get all caught up. Voice of the Vols Bob Kesling Set to Retire in April - University of Tennessee Athletics

So anyway, I opened up this thread to say thanks and to give some of the other VFL's a chance to say thanks and maybe give a suggestion or two for your legacy "Kill Shot" this weekend.

Thanks for the click, and God Bless Josh Heupel

Thank you for spelling annals correctly with 2 "n"s..........

His quick and seemingly easy flair for coining phrases in basketball was even greater than it was for football. I mean the quick, "BOTTOM", is an all time top 5. First free throw, "Pops, Drops". Second free throw, "Guuunnnns, Bang"! Facking as classic as it it gets
Don't forget Price Is Nice or King of the Volunteers.

Wish him all the best and hope he enjoys his retirement. But we’ve needed a new Voice of the Vols for a while now. Need someone with color, energy, personality and passion.

Anyone have any ideas?
Well, if he doesn't? I sure will.

Ya’ll remember last time we won national championship? Michigan won it the year before and our broadcaster retired. History repeats?

If that is so? Bob should have retired several times over the years and returned to retire again.

However, end of an error. Moving on. Thank God.

Effective at the end of the 2024-2025 Men’s Basektball Season.

I’m sure many of you are celebrating.
Not me. I just hope that blowhard, sawed off screamer from the Titans stays far far away from the UT mic. If they hire him I won't listen to The Vol Network... too painful to the ears.

I’m hoping they hire John Wilkerson, he’s been doing the baseball games and smaller basketball games for years, would make sense

Cool story in today's News Sentinel about Kesling and his father who was a band major at Ohio State and was a big Buckeyes fan.

Kesling will be rooting for Tennessee tomorrow.

Ironic that the last time Tennessee won the national title, Michigan won the year before and John Ward was retiring and now We are in the playoffs and Michigan won last year and now Kesling is retiring...Can lightning strike twice?!?
