I blame most of this on Jeremy Schapp. He is a schmuck. ESPN has been all over Knight since that interview.

To be fair, Knight was a complete a-hole to Schapp . . . but it's rididulous that this is even a story.

I just heard Keith Olberman's rant on the radio. KO sounds like a guy who got bullied in high school and is now trying to make up for it.

Fair enough. I simply think that Schapp crossed a line by using imaginary equity built up in his last name.

It really is. He's done some stupid stuff, but more than anything, the media just can't get over the fact that he won't let them get away with pretending to be experts.

Exactly. He used his fathers friendship with Coach Knight to get the interview, then attempted to sandbag him.

Olberman dated Rebecca Lobo. I think that's all that need be said about his judgment.

i don't think Knight told Jeremy Schapp anything that wasn't true.

i've been bored today, so i've been reading old Knight quotes. the one up above is a favorite, i remember watching that game when he said that.

this is an old link but the quotes are hilarious. especially the guy who compares Knight to Hitler.

There's a funny story behind how he got that douche hairstyle... The chess club kids gave him a swirlie and he decided to stick with the hair he had when he came out of the toilet.

If the kid and the parents were really upset then I could it being worth a little segment.

However, if the KID who was touched doesn't care, then WHY SHOULD ANYONE ELSE? Is ESPN trying to become the sports police?

And I like Bobby Knight, a lot.

I don't like Bobby Knight but if the kids and his parents don't care then I agree that nobody else should.

anybody catch the Coach K interview the other night?

He basically considers Knight his mentor and the perception of Knight is nothing like the real Knight for the people who know him. He referred to him as a genious.
