Californians destroyed the pnw in the 90's. You want to know why Portland is the way it is? I had to move back to the midwest. The good news is they will be victims of their own success, they are moving into America's new flood plain that THEY created. One way or another they are going to fall in the ocean. It's a matter of time. If Californian money is moving into your area I would immediately move out.
