I'm not a Vandy fan...but I will take up for them.

Bear Bryant could not have won there. Come on. Is Vandy an automatic win like it used to be ?????NO! They are much better. Johnson does a great job with what they have.

Bologna.

Check out the scores since '92, my first year on campus. Vandy is no better than they've always been, particularly considering that they've played significantly weaker UT teams of late. It's a couple of blowouts followed by a competitive loss, with the lone exception being the disaster that was '05.

The margin of victory has been a touchdown or less in '92, '95, '96, '97, '00, '05 (W,) '07. My alma mater stinks just as bad now as they did under Woody or Dinardo. Don't let a 2-6 season with wins over MSU and UK, padded by an OOC schedule vs. Miami (OH) and the almost-Ivy-league, fool you.

Dan McGugin was their last coach that was relevant. We only beat Vandy twice before Neyland came along. We've basically been dominating them since 1928.

Bobby Johnson is about as good as Vandy will get. If anything, he needs to leave for a better job.

And who exactly would want him? His name has never seriously been mentioned anywhere; the only ones that threw his name around were the paranoid Vandy fans that thought someone would snatch him up after they started last 5-0 last year.

He's been at Vandy 8 years now and he's hit his peak. The "better job" thing isn't going to happen.
