I don't think the news has been reported on Eurobasket.com yet, as this juts happened earlier today.

I believe his team, BK Minsk-2006, won the Belarusian Premier League, and he also received MVP honors.

Way to go Bobby!

Congrats to him. I really don't think people realized how great he was playing during our Elite 8 run. I forgot who he was at times. Was definitely playing at a championship level at the end of the 09 season.

i think most people who watched did, and especially since we haven't had a true PG since that season we know how valuable he was.

B-Maze put on for Belarusian. B-Maze Be Amazed! Glad to hear his success story. Bobby is like a poor mans Allen Iverson.

He might just be the best oop tosser I have ever seen. He set up the D and delivered such an accurate lob from about any position on the floor. Hard-nosed defender as well. B-Maze was a good addition to that roster no question.

I think golden was pretty close to being every bit of the "true pg" that maze was.

With that said, congrats to maze, one of my favorite Vols. very fierce competitor, I'd love to see how he'd play for a guy like Martin. Hopefully he'll get a chance in the league one day!

Out of curiousity, in your opinion, what made maze significantly more of a "true" pg than golden?

much better shooter, passer, leader, and just a better overall basketball player. it's not a knock on golden, as he was not even recruited as a point guard. bobby was a juco who had a lot of experience when he got here. trae will probably work out as a good point guard in the 2 years he has left. i just really liked bobby. he just played his --- off the whole game. i really hope trae works hard and improves. we need him to, badly.

IMO, the last true PG at UT was CJ Watson. However, the lines defining a "true" PG are significantly different in today's game.

Glad for Bobby. Do work.

i agree, wholeheartly. cj was a true "diamond in the rough ". best player buzz signed, by a mile. i think bobby was very close to being a true point.

Maze was better at passing, but Golden is a better shooter and scorer. I don't think that makes Golden any less of a traditional PG than Maze.

No way in Haiti was maze a better shooter than golden let me go ahead and get that out of the way. Every single shooting statistic will be in Goldens favor.

I can see the argument for passer and leader, but not overall player. That's one of Goldens strong points. He rebounds like a wing, passes like a pg, shoots like a 2 guard. He is overall a much better player than maze IMO.

I was just curious what you're distinction was between the two. I can see an argument where maze is considered the better of the two, I don't agree with it, but to say maze is a better shooter and overall player isn't accurate in any way shape or form.
